Chapter Eleven

Where is she? I look around the café I am meeting with Selene today to talk about whatever she has to tell me I didn't tell Savestian that I was going to meet her he has some big meeting today and I didn't want to bother him we have been getting on a lot better and I want to keep it that way.

I look down at my phone it's after two she should be here by now, I get ready to call her when she walks in. I take her in she is dressed in jeans and a hoody with sunglasses on and a cap she walks up to me sitting down removing her shades and her eye is black.

Oh my god. I take her in, and she looks like she is using bad drugs again or someone is abusing her. This must be Tavion he is the only one that would do this to her but why last I check he liked dumb girls he could play with so why is he doing this to her.

"What happened?" I ask once she has settled down.

"I need your help" she tells him. "Tavion has gone crazy ever since the night you bite him it's like he's losing his mind"

"I don't care about him I care about you, you have to leave him if he's doing this to you" I tell him firmly.

"I'm trying but he won't let me anywhere I go he finds me" she says.

"Not everywhere" I reach into my bag taking out the car keys that Savestian gave me to use for school. "Come on"

I walk out getting on Selene looks at it before looking back at me I know that this is not what she was expecting but life has been good to me.

"I guess life in the strip club is better than I thought" she says as we head to my place.

"Something like that" I pull up outside my building and we get out.

I take her up to my apartment I haven't been here in a while, but I can let her use it until this thing with Savestian plays itself out. I show Selene into my apartment and gave her some clean clothes to wear once she had shower and fed, she got some rest.

I know that Tavion is an animal and everything but to lash out on Selene like that is just mean after all she did for him hide his affairs from me. I know that she can't stand up to me she never had been I know I shouldn't care but she was there for me when I had nothing and no one so I owe her.

"Back for more I see" Suzie says the minute I walk into the strip club.

I didn't think that after everything that happened with Tavion and Savestian that I would be back here but if I know anyone who can hide Selene and give her a chance to get from under Tavion it's this place.

I walk pass her heading for Jerry's office I place a knock on the door waiting a minute before he tells me to come in. I open the door walking in to find him talking with Savestian he looks at me with a frown, but I ignore him this isn't about me.

"Max" Jerry looks over at Savestian.

"I'm sorry to be barging in her like this Jerry but I know you have an open slot and your good at helping people disappear I have a friend who needs that help" I tell him seriously.

He looks at me before looking at Savestian he stares at him for a while before looking back at me.

"What do you need?" he asks pointing at the extra chair in the room.

I fill him in on Selene and her situation he takes it down before telling me how he could help I know this was the right place to come. Once I got everything that I needed for her I left without even so much as looking at Savestian.

I get back to my apartment I walk in to find Selene sitting on the coach looking at her hand it's got some pretty bad bruises. I take a seat next to her taking her hand into mine she shakes her head fighting back tears.
