My foot I kept in the lush green grass,
Of a town that was praised by all who trespass.
The unmetalled roads and the anklets women wore,
Were not to be seen by one anymore.
The Potter's wheel and the farmer's field
Had become things people would no more need.Upon being beaten, children no more cried.
With mobile phones as compensation, why would they mind? The loud hymns from the temple
And the village life which was simple
Have begun to cease in the modern day lives
Where the rich become richer by accepting bribes
And the poor remain poor after working for days and nights.
With the ever increasing urbanisation,
For establishing a developed nation,
We often tend to forget the cost
Of what we have already lost.
Technology is improving, thus leading to innovation
While the innocent village life is at the verge of extinction.
