Chapter 5: Leadership

*Luna's POV*

The day was starting out nicely. I had a wonderful breakfast, courtesy of Aina, and was looking forward for a great match during mom's class. However, that great match was ruined by a certain bully.

Our friend Jaune Arc was getting his butt handed to him by Cardin. Cardin is a big bad bully, I'm a bit scared of him but his attitude doesn't scare me.

Jaune charges in recklessly at Cardin, only to be swatted away by Cardin's mace. He loses his shield but doesn't care and charges recklessly once more. He goes for an overhead strike but Cardin managed to block it.

Cardin: This is the part where you lose.

Jaune: Over my dead– *Cardin knees him in the gut* Oof.

Jaune falls to the ground, clutching his stomach and making me wince. As Cardin was about to hit Jaune, Mom stops him.

Glynda: Cardin, that's enough!

Cardin huffs and walks away.

Glynda: As you can see, Mr. Arc's aura has now dropped to the red zone. This would indicate that he is no longer fit for battle. Mr. Arc, it's been weeks now. Please try to refer to your scroll during combat. This will help you decide when to attack and when to move to a defense strategy. We wouldn't want you to be gobbled up by a Beowolf, would we?

Cardin: Speak for yourself...

Aina and I growl at his bad behavior. We've dealt with bullies before so he's no different.

Glynda: Remember, everyone, the Vytal Festival is only a few months away. It won't be long before students from other kingdoms start arriving in Vale, so keep practicing!

Aina and I cheer along with Team RWBY as we got excited for the Vytal Festival, especially the tournament! We always wanted to join the tournament and prove our worth but because we're not official students, we couldn't join.

Glynda: Those who choose to compete in the combat tournament will be representing all of Vale.

The bell rings as Aina and I head to the cafeteria. As I get there, I got tripped over by Cardin.

Cardin: Haha, hey look, it's the Loserwitch and her adopted sister Wolfy.

We both growl at him and his team before leaving to get our food. As we got our food, we sat beside sis's team and Jaune's team. Nora was apparently telling a story.

Nora: "So! There we were, in the middle of the night..."

Ren: "It was day."

Nora: We were surrounded by Ursai...

Ren: They were Beowolves.

Nora: Dozens of them!

Ren: Two of 'em.

Nora: But they were no match... And in the end, Ren and I took them down and made a boatload of Lien selling Ursa skin rugs!

Ren: She's been having this recurring dream for nearly a month now.

Pyrrha: Jaune? Are you okay?

Jaune: Huh? Oh, yeah! Why?

Ruby: It's just that you seem a little... not okay...

Aina: Yeah, you seem down.

Jaune: Guys, I'm fine. Seriously.

He gives us a thumbs up but laughs nervously. Our attention was then brought to Team CRDL, who bullying a 2nd Year Student. Most specifically, Velvet Scarlatina. Cardin was pulling on Velvet's bunny ears while the rest of them laughed. Aina and I growled once more.
