BLINDS

The blackness bleeds

Swells against thin blinds

Black and white

In a battle of power

And glass hides the darkness

Only lets light through;

Only lets light explore the sky

And shadows pound,

Pound on invisible barriers,

And white blinds flip,

Closing the blackness out,

And keeping the light in.

The moon just cries,

Cries twinkling droplets,

For how can she tell her children

That Black and White,

Were meant to be

Together?

And light was meant for both?
