When I Grow Up... (CSI FanFic)

Chapter 3

Sorry guys for taking so long to update!! I think I'm going to try and do short but regular updates because that works best for me and when I have more time I'll write a long one ;)

"WHAT?!" I exclaimed. "Can Jessica come Mom PLEASE, you know how much she loves it too! And can Jesse come too?!"

Jessica and Jesse were brother and sister' and I had a huge crush on Jesse, he was so cute!

"Well... All right then. They did say you could bring a couple of friends."

"Thank so much Mom! I'll call them now!"

Ten minutes later, after we'd picked them up, we started heading towards my Mom's workplace because that's where they were going to be.

It was so exciting, because I loved CSI: Crime Scene Investigation so much. I had gone through about ten CSI kits because I always used the fingerprint powder and fingerprint copy stickers first. I had a large collection of my fingerprints in a big book at home.

I also had other random CSI books too.

I'd pretty much watched every episode of every CSI, but the original was my favourite. If I'd had to pick a favourite character, it would have been Sara Sidle or Nick Stokes. Or Catherine Willows... Or maybe Gil Grissom... But I didn't really have a favourite.

But I did know all about their characters and Actor names.

So I knew all about them, and all about the business they were in, probably more than they did.

'You know Mom, I've heard that they go to LVPD crime labs all over Las Vegas, and employ the actual people for extras, or even a big role for an episode! You might even be a regular!" I said to her.

"Honey, they employ people based on their acting talent you know?" She asked.

"Ok then, you're a forensic investigator a bit like Greg who goes out into the field to collect evidence, and you carry firearms. You passed you're test so you are legally allowed to have them, and you have a personal license too. You're in the lab and the field so you are a bit like Greg in the later episodes when he passes his 'go into the field' test. So you never know, you might be helping to make his role realistic, by helping write the script!"

"Your Mom carries a gun?!" Jesse asked, excited.

"Yep" she smiled.

"OHMIGOSH WE'RE HERE!" Jess shouted.

"Gurl, you're too over excited! Well, I AM TOO!" We all laughed, an got out if the car.

Told you it was only short, but next chapter they meet everybody, with a surprising twist :)
