JOSSLYN was the fuck up of the family.

The entire Simon bloodline were known at Rydell High for being put together, smart and in line. Josslyn always knew she didn't exactly fit in with her family, great first impression, she knows. She's always been straight forward, and has a tendency to speak before she thinks, which has resulted in a number of detentions from teachers, beatings from her father and strong words of hate from her grandparents. Then again, Josslyn never learnt, she was never known for being the schools 'good girl'.

One thing Josslyn Simon is known for is being that one kid that would randomly disappear for months at a time, come back for two weeks and then leave again. Nobody knew where she went, not her dad, not her brothers, not her best friends. She just vanishes and comes back like everythings fine. Some people reckon she drives to her home town on the other side of Washington to spend time with her mother, who in fact, cheated on her father and then got pregnant so she ran away with her new baby daddy and son.

Others say she bunks out in her older brothers penthouse apartment with her sister in law and nephew, but she quickly denied those rumours as soon as she got back to school. Her brother, Hunter, and her had never been close. He was smart, handsome, funny, definitely a ladies man. She was the complete opposite. Sometimes, he would act like her father, trying to get her to do things for him, lecturing her on what was right and what was wrong. Deep down, Josslyn knew he meant well, but she had never had anybody properly care about her before, so she pushed him away, just like she did every other good thing in her life. Hunter just wanted to be there for her, when he found out he was getting a little sister, he was so excited to finally have someone to talk to, someone to have fun with and he was hoping for a sweet girl that he would get along with really well and have some fairytale sibling bond with her, but that is definitely not what he got. The only person who knew about their long sibling feud was Josslyns ex-best friend, Esmerelda Monroe.

ESMERELDA is the school player.

Well, she used to be, but shes changed now...she thinks. Often, her friends catch her leading an innocent boy on, and have to give her a quick slap and talk some sense into her. She was the classic popular girl, pretty and rich. Her parents were married, she had two sisters, a brother and money...a whole lot of it. Her father was the best lawyer in town, and was payed nearly two-hundred-and-fifty dollars an hour to argue with people, and her mother ran an international cosmetic business, raking in at least five-thousand dollars every few hours. She had everything nice in the world: a house, clothes, food, boys.

At first glance, you would think Esmerelda was completely content with her life, but her happiness flew out the window when she was fourteen, when her best friend Josslyn started to go off the rails. Due to the social hierarchy of high school, Esmerelda had to keep her friendship with the school basket-case a secret, and would often pick of her when she was in front of her friends. Josslyn knew she didn't mean it, and that's what made her mad. Eventually, Esmerelda chose her popularity over her best friend, leaving her memories with Josslyn and her happiness in middle school.
