CHAPTER SIX

SHAVING MY HAIR

I told Brandon ever thing and he kept his promise not to tell anyone, i was really i was finally getting to know about myself.

One Saturday evening, I was in the living room watching TV with Brandon when Mrs Clancy walked in from the

"Zira, how could you, i raised you better than this"she said i had never seen her this disappointed and angry "I can't believe you've been sneaking out to some insane library at night against my wishes"

"i-i-i "i stammered, i can't lie "how did you find out"
"that's none of your business"she said
"Brandon i can't believe you told her, you promised me you weren't gonna tell"i said to Brandon angry that he broke my trust.
"i-i didn't tell anyone I swear"Brandon swore but i didn't believe him.
"you knew about this and you didn't tell me" Mrs Clancy asked Brandon.

That's when i realized that not only have i put Brandon in trouble but I've also made him think i don't trust him.

It was a really awkward moment, the three of us stood there silently staring at each other.

"both of you go up to your rooms and think about what you've done, we'll talk about your punishment later" ordered Mrs Clancy, Brandon and I walked up to our room without saying anything to each other.

I lay down on my bed thinking about what i learnt from THE BOOK OF LEGENDS,soon Mrs Clancy walked in to my room, i sat up on my bed, she was holding an unusual bag.
"Zira come over here and take a sit darling"she said and moved my chair, i walked over and sat down.
"Zira i want you to know that i love you very much and everything i do is for your own good"I Mrs Clancy said I knew it was true she really loves me and i love her too.

But i was shocked when she pulled out a pair of scissors from the bag, pulled off my wig and cut my hair, my beautiful beautiful green hair, the one thing i loved most in the world to the reason i wake up every morning, but i didn't move i know it's for my own good, Mrs Clancy cut my hair until there was no hair left, i was sad but i suddenly became angry, how could she do this to me.

I heard Mrs Clancy gasp and when i turned around i realized my hair had grown back to its original length, i was shocked did I do this.

She shaved my hair over and over again but it grew back in a second she didn't ask any questions,i saw her drop the scissors and picked up a bottle of hair die and died my hair brown but then my hair absorbed in the die, she applied the die again but this time my hair began to glow brighter and brighter until my beautiful green hair exploded.

It literally exploded a bright greenish light shone through the room and when it cleared up my hair was in perfect condition, Mrs Clancy was sitting by the door, she stood up immediately and left my room silently.

Did I just do this to, the book said i have powers but i don't really know how to control it but ill try, ill try to control how angry I am right now, how could Mrs Clancy even think of doing this to me what was she going to do next ,try to kill me or or throw me away. I paced up and down in my room angrier than I had ever been in my entire life, how could my mom try to cut my hair, she knows how much I love my hair. And now she'll be watching my every move, how i'm i supposed to finish reading THE BOOK OF LEGENDS.

I picked up my bag packed, put in some clothes and important stuff, wrote a note, dropped the note on my bed and jumped out my window.
