After school I needed a ride. My no good father who's a druggie always said " I'll pick you up." well this time and like all the others , he didnt show up. It was about 8 degrees and it was 5pm. So everyone was gone and the school doors were locked. I decided to call Calum.
* ring *ring * ring
You have reached the voicemail of Calum Hood please leave the message after the beep.
I just hung up and called Luke.
(L-Luke K-Katie)
L- Hello?
K- Hey
L- What's up? you okay? You seem tired and upset?
K- I'm stuck outside at school with no ride. My so called dad didnt bother to show up. Could you possibly come get me?
L- Of course! I dont want my bae cold, tired, sick or hungry.
K- same for you thanks!
L- See you well now!
I saw his car come up near me. I was looking at my old and new cuts Then hurried and pulled my sleeve down when I saw him. I hopped in his car and gave him a hug and acted casual. I thought to myself 'He knows. he hates me. he knows i love him. he wouldnt love a girl like me.'
I was akwaened by my thoughts when Luke put his hand on my thigh. He pulled into a place where i didnt reconize.
L- Katie tell me whats wrong?
K-Just my dad....... I lied
L- I know its not just that. I know you Katie but I'm not gonna force you to tell me. But it kills me to see you like this.
I was shocked. 1. I dont know what he meant. 2. He is never such a softy. 3. He-- he cares?
K- Theres just a lot goping on Luke. And I need to tell you something. But I'm scared too.
L- Me too.
K- say it together?
L- okay...... One
K- two

Both- I think I love you
