So Wrong

In the span of three months, I had become Sheila and she had become me, Donny and I started our new jobs and got engaged, and the new Marcianne had become his stalker.

I worried that Donny would realize I wasn't Sheila, but he seemed oblivious to the change in "her". It made me wonder just how in love he thought he was with Sheila. But who was I to complain? I had the affection of an incredibly hot man who was amazing in bed.

"I never thought she'd turn out to be crazy." He shook his head as we prepared our dinner together.

"I could have warned you." I shrugged, not worried at all.

"Do you know that she tried to say she was really you? That you guys had somehow switched bodies?" The look on his face expressed just how crazy he thought Marcianne was.

"What?" I snorted, turning away to hide my expression.

We finished cooking and ate on the small balcony, talking about the wedding. We were still debating on where we wanted to get married.

I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket and excused myself. I went to the bedroom and pulled it out.

How the heck did she get my number? I had changed it as soon as I went to work for Bronson. And Donny had his number changed when he filed the restraining order against her.

But I looked at the picture of my old body, cuddled up against a sleeping Laurance. I gagged at the sight.

I don't know what she was trying to do. I mean, I wasn't Marcianne anymore. She was. So the only person she was hurting was herself.

As I slid my foot across the area rug from her old place, I felt a shock. Stupid static electricity!

I blocked her number and deleted the message before I went back to the balcony and finished my meal with my fiance. Memories of my last days at the office flooded back.

"When are you planning to work with me on figuring how we switch back?" Sheila growled at me.

"I don't know. Donny has been wanting to spend a lot of time together."

"Well tell him you're going to have to pass. You have to take care of your sick mother or some crap like that."

"And break his poor heart? You don't want us to switch just so you have to mend a broken relationship, do you?"

"I can take care of that. I want to be myself." She was inches from my face, her voice low. And I swear she had death ray eyes.

I gulped, a little unsure how to handle things now. I had been able to hold her off, using her relationship as the excuse. I had to keep things as normal as possible, right? But she was impatient

"How about Friday night? I'll come to my place." I had no intention of doing that and if she went to her place, she'd find it empty. Donny and I had wasted no time in moving into the apartment.

"That's the best you can do?" I was scared she'd break some teeth with how hard she was gritting them.

"Yeah. I mean, I'd like to look over the spell we're going to try. Make sure we have everything together. "

"Bull. We do this tonight." She slammed her hand down, causing the desk to shake and people to stare.

"Fine. Don't get so testy." I rolled my eyes at her, trying to figure out how I could stand her up.

That was the last day I showed up to the office. I didn't go to my old place that night. Donny and I kept our date as planned. I changed my phone number the next day and told Donny it was because someone I didn't know kept calling me and sending me messages. It didn't matter that I had blocked the number, they just kept on from a different phone. He didn't question me, but I saw that he was worried.
