Keefe POV (wow I feel like I write everything in Keefe's POV 😬)

"I love you!" Keefe shouted at the silver-banged boy as he put away the hair supplies, knowing Tam would hear the sarcasm in his tone.

"I love you too Keefe," he deadpanned, "you're my favorite person in the entire world."

Of course Sophie would choose that exact moment to walk in the door. Her eyes widened when she took in the landfill that was Keefe's room.

Her eyes widened even MORE when she spotted Tam.

"You're hanging out with TAM?!" She asked, as if it were the most surprising thing in the world, which, Keefe couldn't blame her. He and Tam weren't exactly besties.

"Me? Hanging out with TAM?! Psh, never! Have you seen his terrible bangs? What makes you think I'd want to hang out with him?" I tried and failed to stop a nervous laugh from slipping out of my lips.

"Yeah, you think I'd be caught dead with an idiot like him?" Tam added.

"Ok ok, jeez. Forget I asked. That's not why I'm here anyways. I'm here because I felt obligated to tell you this..." she paced around his trashed room, seeming reluctant to tell them whatever she had to say.

"Don't make me regret this," she started, "but... it's October 1st for humans. You know what that means? I figured you two of all people would appreciate this more than anyone..."

"Just spill it Foster!"

"Alright alright... it's National Hair Day."

"IT'S MY DAY?!" Keefe shouted as Tam rolled his eyes. "Oh please, we both know I'm the king of good hair land, so I can say that I know I am NOT speaking to one of my royal subjects, peasant!"

"Whatever, it's not like your opinion on my hair matters anyways," Tam sneered, tugging on his bangs.

And just like that, Keefe felt Sophie's emotions spike with what felt like an idea.

"What is it Foster? I can feel an idea forming!"

"I just thought..." a mischievous grin lit up her face, "what if to celebrate... you two style each other's hair!"

"No!" Tam shouted at the same time Keefe shouted "Yes!"

"I have MANY ideas of what I could do to fix this monstrosity," Keefe sauntered over to Tam, playfully messing up his hair.

"Oh, I have FAR more creative ideas than you give me credit for," Tam added with a devious smirk.

Keefe leaned as close as he dared, narrowing his eyes. "It's on, Bangs Boy."

For just a moment, Keefe's eyes were trained on Tam's silver eyes, closer than he'd expected them to be, and his heart stopped. Tam's eyes were far prettier than Keefe ever gave him credit, and they widened when Tam also seemed to realize how close they were. It wasn't until Sophie cleared her throat rather loudly that they stepped away from each other, and though he didn't comment on it Keefe could've sworn Tam was blushing as he looked away despite the surly look on his face.

"So... let's get this started!" Sophie chimed.

About five minutes later, a salon chair was set up in Keefe's enormous bathroom and dozens of hairstyling gels and elixirs were set up on the counter. Keefe had some very creative ideas for which products he would use, and he was sure Tam did too.

Tam reluctantly sat in the chair as Sophie began, "Alright, rules--"

"You know I don't like to follow rules, Foster," Keefe interjected.
