Caleb may seem really antisocial, but he's a pretty overprotective brother. Once, in my old school, he found out that this boy had tried to kiss me. The next time I saw that guy, he had a black eye. Oh well. I introduce them to eachother but Caleb still seems to be unsure about Tobias.

"Why is he in your room? You said he was a friend." He questions.

"Caleb! Mum's getting the food ready. It was awkward between Dad and him so I bought him upstairs. We weren't gonna do anything. Gosh." I reply. Seriously. My family needs help. I guess I still love them though.

"Fine. But I'm staying here with you." I roll my eyes and sigh.

"Ugh, okay. Whatever."

I make an apologetic face towards Tobias but he just grins. Then, his grin turns into a smirk. Oh, no.

"But Tris, you were saying something earlier. What was that about? Tell Caleb, he's your brother. I mean, it wasn't THAT intimate. He deserves to know. Was it something about-" I cut him off.

"Shut up, Tobias! He's trying to wind you up, Caleb. Don't fall for it." Course, being the dumb brother he is, he does.

"What the hell Tris! Get him out of your room! You're too young to have a boyfriend!!" He shouts. He turns to Tobias. "And YOU. Stay away from her! Your a bad influence!" Tobias laughs to tears.

"What?!" Caleb whines. I laugh too. When me and Tobias are literally on the floor, rolling around with tears of humour rolling down our cheeks, Caleb gets it. He fumes.

"Oh my gosh! Don't do it again! Believe me Tris, this boy isn't right in the head." We laugh harder. Tobias isn't right in the head? Ha!

"Tris. Don't date anyone. You're too young!"

I stop laughing and look at Caleb.

"Says the guy who is the same age as me and is dating a girl who goes by the name of Susan." I snap back. He goes red.

"Shut up!" He storms out of the room. Tobias continues to laugh.

"Your (laughs) family (laughs) is too (giggles) funny!" He says between laughter.

"I HEARD THAT!" Yells a muffled voice from outside the door.

"Stop eavesdropping!! It's rude!" I shout back.

"You're rude! Your face is rude! Go talk to your rude friend! In your rude life! Goodbye, my RUDE SISTER!" Caleb shouts. I can hear him storm down the stairs. Me and Tobias are in tears again.

All five of us sit around the dining table to eat. Mum made lasagna with boiled vegetables, gravy, parsnips and profiteroles for dessert. Yum. Eating was awkward. Mum was the only one nice enough to talk to Tobias with a smile. Dad said a few words here and there. Caleb zipped that hole. I kept trying to ease the tension then gave up to no avail.

When we finish eating, we decided to watch a movie. Mum and Dad do the dishes as me, Caleb and Tobias go to the living and put on The Fault in our Stars. The guy that plays Augustus looks a lot like Caleb. We make fun of him saying that Susan is his Hazel. When the film ends, Tobias gets ready to leave.

"Thanks for the amazing dinner, Natalie. The food was delicious. Nice to meet you, Mr Prior And Caleb." He shakes everyone's hand except mine. He waves to me. He steps out the door before turning back to me who stands leaning on the doorframe.

"See you at school tomorrow." He says.

"It's Friday." I reply.

"Oh yeah. See you on Monday. Call me."
I nod. He shivers in the chilly air and I realise he doesn't have a coat to wear.

"Wait a sec." I turn back into the house and grab one of Caleb's jackets. "Wear this. It's freezing." I say simply, handing the jacket to Tobias.

"Thanks. See ya." We wave to each other one last time before he turns away and start to walk home.

I wonder if I'll be able to tell him I like him. Hopefully I will. Hopefully it will be soon.

Hopefully he'll do it for me.

Hopefully.
