prologue

Ever since you could remember you were always made fun of by your family for how much you cried. Unlike most zoldyck children you would cry every chance you got and your family hated that. They tried everything they could think of to make you stop. Some of these techniques include emotion suppression training. But when that didn't work your father resorted to asking your older brother , Illumi , to stick a needle into your brain. Of course you found it rather quickly and then added this incident to the long list of reasons why you disliked your family. Everyday was a nightmare for you. Well that was until your family introduced you to your new baby brother Kalluto. You see, just like you Kalluto was also a very sensitive baby and would cry constantly. This caused your parents to have you take care of him saying that
"two crybabies like yourselves should stay together."
because he would see you more than his real mother by the time he could talk he started calling you mom. When your mother found out about this she yelled at you and took you to the tourture room. You explained to Kalluto that he couldn't do that anymore in front of your mother. He told you he understood and stopped calling you this for a while. One day while your family was having dinner Kalluto accidently called you mom and of course this sent kikyo into a rage she screamed and yelled saying
"How dare you try to take my spot in my child's life! I knew you were no good ever since you were born!" of course you started crying as she continued yelling." I can't take this anymore, I never want to see you again, Gotoh!" she yelled for your family butler. " please prepare a new living space for y/n." He simply nodded and walked away." y/n prepare your bags." you cried that whole night as you packed. The next morning you said your goodbyes and was taken to an abandoned part of your family's mansion. You cried as they locked the doors leaving you alone in the cold, dirty part of the house. They kept you there for years only visiting to give you food and supplies. While locked away you learned how to cook, clean, sew , and knit. You would also read about what life outside the zoldyck property was like and at night you would cry yourselves to sleep. You dreamed about being let out of your prison you called home. You wished for your dream to come true and finally it did on a foggy morning, four years after you were locked away, your father called you to his office and told how you would be leaving with killua.
