THE CABIN DEDICATED to Dorothy's mother was nothing like the others. Her eyes raked up the wall, squinting at the inscription of the language on the bricks. Dorothy wasn't sure if it was just her or if the writing on the bricks was glowing. The cabin had four visible modules, and Dorothy looked up higher to see the high, slanted roof. She looked back down to the door to see that it was black and flanked with two torches that burned a purple flame.
Dorothy slowly stepped up, holding the skirt of her dress in her hands tightly. On the door was the engraving of a circle, a symbol. She recognized it but she couldn't place the name, she reached up with her hand to trace it, but the second she touched the door, it disappeared. She let out a yelp and looked back to Chiron who only smiled. She stepped inside and gasped as people in the room stopped to stare at her and her dress. Dorothy paid them no mind as she looked around at the inside of the cabin, the door appeared behind her, startling her.
Dorothy didn't know how to take it all in. Her eyes fixated on something new every three seconds and the longer she looked around, the more her head started to ache. A girl got up from her seat and approached her. She was around Dorothy's height, maybe an inch shorter, but her stare intimidated her. The girl had striking blue eyes that made Dorothy a little jealous but she let it slide. She loved her brown eyes nonetheless.
"Are you Trelawney?" The girl had a thick accent that made Dorothy blink as she processed the words that were asked of her.
She nodded in response. The accented girl took a step back and sized her up, nodding slowly with a look on her face that Dorothy couldn't read. She felt her nerves tingle in anxiousness. The girl stuck her hand out with a small smile.
"I'm Josephine Petrova, your stuff appeared in the room next to mine," She spoke. Dorothy took her hand and shook it, her eyes widened.
"Dorothy Trelawney, I have my own room?" She asked and Josephine laughed.
"That's always the first question asked when a newcomer arrives," Josephine said, "I'll show you around."
Josephine showed Dorothy the different rooms and explained their purpose for them. Dorothy surprised herself with how well she was taking this information. She memorized the layout of the cabin and eventually, they made it to the back of the cabin where there was a long row of doors that Dorothy guessed were bedrooms.
"Due to us being able to manipulate magic like we can, the inside of the cabin is way larger than the outside, and trust me, the bedrooms are huge, this is yours," Josephine explained and Dorothy nodded as she pressed her hand to the knobless door, it disappeared and the two girls entered.
