FLOWER PETALS

CHAPTER ONE - ##ORCHIDS

[ Rose and Dagger Tattoos and Piercings, 3:47pm, Lovely Petals, 3:58pm]

LOUIS: (locks the door of his shop, whispers) “Good bye shop.” (walks towards flower shop, stops and looks at the flowers smiling)

HARRY: “Hello sir, can I help you with anything today?”

 LOUIS: (turns, facing harry) “Yeah, that’d be great. I need to get some flowers…”

HARRY: “Would that be for your girlfriend—”

LOUIS: (immediately) “I’m gay—” (nervous)

HARRY: (blushing) “I didn’t mean to—”

LOUIS: (chuckles) “It’s fine, I get it… anyways.” (pauses, dry) “Anyways, I need some flowers for my mum, she likes flowers with a nice fragrance and maybe something that looks simple.”

HARRY: (nodding) I might know a flower that has all of those..uh..stuff you said.. please follow me, uh…?”

LOUIS: (confused) “Oh, i’m Louis, and you are..?”

HARRY: (smiling) “Harry, pleasure to meet you.” (walks into store, Louis following him, stops at a section of flowers, looks at Louis) “How about these?”

LOUIS: (grinning) “They look beautiful.” (sniffs the flower) “And they smell good too.. mum for sure would love these.” (thinks to himself) “How much do these cost?”

HARRY: (remembering) “£13. They cost a lot, but they’re my favourite in the store.”

LOUIS: (looking at harry, thinking) “ I’ll buy them.”

HARRY: “That’s great, would you like them tied in a ribbon or…?”

LOUIS: “Could I have a bow on the pot, if that’s alright?”

HARRY: “ I could do a bow.” (smiling, walking over to the counter)

LOUIS: (follows harry to the counter, sets the orchid onto of the counter) “Sorry, but what do you call these again?”

HARRY: “Orchids.” (taking out supplies, trying to make small talk) “So… what do you Louis?”

 LOUIS: (interested) “ I actually work, right beside this shop. I’m a tattoo artist.”

HARRY: (amused) “That;s really cool. I haven’t seen you before though.” (finished with the bow)     “All down here, that’d be £13.”

LOUIS: (smiling) “Thanks.” (pulls out wallet, takes out money, gives it to harry) “Sorry, I don’t have change.”

HARRY: (grabs the money, takes out change, counting the coins) “I actually want to get a tattoo.”

LOUIS: (confused) “Sorry?”

HARRY: (gives louis the change, places orchids in a bag) “ I want to get a tattoo.”

LOUIS: (smiling) “You should come over to my shop then,  I could give you a discount.” (winks)

HARRY: (blushes) “That’d be great, can I drop in tomorrow?”

LOUIS: (bites lip) “Sure curly. See yea then, bye.” (grabs the bag, walks out of the flower shop)

HARRY: (waves, whispering) “Bye Lou..”

KAREN: (laughing) “Was that boy flirting with shy little harry, seems to me you’ve gotten your eyes on him, hmm?”

HARRY: (awakens from thoughts) “What? NO!”

KAREN: (smiling) “Seems to me like it was.”

HARRY: (flustered) “Your really funny Karen.”

KAREN: “What ever you say sonny boy.”
