Throughout the flight home, Bakugo could only recall the conversation he had with his teacher, Aizawa Shouta.
According to Aizawa, Scar had somehow managed to incapacitate one of the guards, impersonate him, and escape. They thought he was just a low time villain, they underestimated him and now they're paying the consequences. Aizawa mentioned there was barely information - like he appeared out of nowhere. Aizawa also warned Bakugo not to do anything stupid but Bakugo had stopped listening at that point.
His mind only filled with vengeance.
Bakugo smiled to himself, this is perfect he thought. If Scar was stuck in prison, Bakugo wouldn't be able to beat the shit out of him. Excitement filled Bakugo's body, the thought of fighting him again sending sparks to his fingertips.
"I'll fucking kill him and get my quirk back," he whispered to himself.
---
When Bakugo arrived at the airport it was already 10:00 PM. His parents excitedly greeted him, took him to a family restaurant and dropped him off at the dorm. He laid in his bed, only realizing his exhaustion when the softness of the mattress relaxed his muscles. He pulled out his phone from his pocket and began looking through news articles. Tch, looks like he's laying low, Bakugo thought after seeing no news of Scar.
"Are you already back at the dorms?" A message from Yaoyorozu suddenly appeared at the top of his phone.
"Yeah. How's your ankle?" He texted back.
"Good! It's almost all healed up!"
"Glad to hear."
Bakugo looked at the little icon indicating that Yaoyorozu was typing. He grunted and placed his phone face down on the side table. No distractions, he thought.
Bzzt. Bzzt.
His phone buzzed. He looks at his phone, reaches out and looks at the notification.
1 message.
Ponytail.
Goodnight!
Bakugo typed out a reply, placing his phone down again and closed his eyes - a small smile creeping on his lips.

"How was your summer?" Kirishima asked Bakugo while they walked to school.
"It was okay," Bakugo replied, looking at the notifications on his phone. He's received quite a lot of messages from Aizawa reminding him to not pursue Scar. But Bakugo ignored those messages - whether he was pursuing Scar for personal reasons, the fact remains that he is a villain and Bakugo is a hero. This was part of the job.
"Oh! Good morning!" Kirishima greeted, waving his arm. Bakugo looked up slowly from his phone to see who he was greeting. It was Midoriya's group of friends, Uraraka, Iida, Half and Half and Yaoyorozu?
"Good morning!" Uraraka replied, matching Kirishima's energy.
"Mind if we joined you?" Kirishima asked.
Midoriya's group of friends nodded in agreement, although some of them looked nervously at Bakugo expecting him to rebut.
When he didn't put up a fight, the group formed naturally - Uraraka, Kirishima and Iida leading at the front, while Midoriya and Todoroki walked behind them. Bakugo matched Yaoyorozu's pace, noticing that although they initially began walking together, her pace was much slower than the others.
