"she's the sender of the letter" eunbi's pencil came to a screeching halt, she paused before looking at him. moon bin sensed her confusion from the lack of response and added "the girl in front of my locker" so she won't be pushed to ask a question he already knows the answer to. eunbi stares blankly on the her notebook, still holding the pencil tightly to where it stopped. "you ditched me" she catches moon bin's full attention but he didn't look at her.

moon bin could tell what she's talking about, making him sigh. she actually expected for him? "it's for show, i had other things to do during lunch" eunbi connected the dots to herself silently. the girl who wrote the letter reveals herself, asks to meet up with moon bin during both breaks even though the other break is supposed to be for her. asking why the girl hid behind eunbi's identity is nonsense chatter, eunbi is not going to act like the girl's sparkling eyes escaped her notice. she only needs to know what moon bin feels and him not showing up during lunch, making up vague excuses like having other things to do (as if something or someone is more important than her) tells enough. i don't need another friend.

moon bin saw eunbi's pencil tip break in his peripheral vision and when he turns to face her, she's already walking away. he stands up abruptly and follows her, muttering under his breath "what's her problem?" moon bin had to finish an assignment he forgot to do during lunch and he didn't take what he said to eunbi seriously so it's a surprise that she's actually affected by his absence- she takes me seriously now? moon bin hides how surprised he is when eunbi stops walking, he approaches her and stands in front of her to block her if she tries to walk away again. eunbi raises her eyebrow at him "why are you leaving me?" moon bin wants to hit himself for sounding like a clingy boyfriend while it's music to eunbi's ears, she smirks at him. she tugged his collar and pulls him close to her. moon bin, taken aback, could only follow where eunbi is staring. eunbi's gaze moves to his lips, making use of their close distance to her advantage and it's actually working because moon bin tensed up. he isn't stopping her and can only wish for this moment to stop. eunbi tiptoes and moves closer to him, her chest pressing against his. moon bin gulped. push her away! his body won't follow his mind.

eunbi suddenly moves away, with a book on her hand and moon bin realized they are in the history section. that she's just reaching for a book.  flustered by how shy he was, he opens his mouth to explain when eunbi turns her back on him and comes back to their spot. eunbi smirks, if he plans to date that girl then she's going to have to make it hard for him to leave her. yes, hwang eunbi will seduce moon bin for ditching her once. this is normal. my grudges are this deep, it's not because of jealousy but only to mess with him. eunbi tells herself while moon bin who is left flustered, could only clench his fist and ask himself what the hell just happened.

"can i join you?" moon bin snaps off his trance when yoojung asks him and dongmin a question. there was a pause and yoojung was about to walk away holding her tray with a shy smile on her face when moon bin stops her. "it's okay, you can sit beside dongmin" dongmin points to himself and mouths me? moon bin eyes his friend to stop and smiles at yoojung to make her feel welcomed. yoojung almost jumped in happiness, making moonbin smile even wider.

cute.

"i'll sit here, boyfriend" eunbi chimed in, smiling proudly to herself as she steals yoojung's seat beside dongmin. they greeted each other and eunbi starts chomping on her food, ignoring moon bin's glare. yoojung, surprised by eunbi's sudden arrival, freezed on her spot. omg, my role model and crush are sitting with me in the same table! she bit her lip, trying to contain an incoming squeal. moon bin holds eunbi's wrist to stop her from taking another bite, eunbi smiles sweetly. "you wanna hold my hand already?"

"you can't sit with us" moon bin said, annoyed. eunbi twists her wrist away from moon bin's grip and puts the piece of chicken in her mouth slowly, chewing it slowly to rub it in his face that she is staying here. moon bin snorts, rolling his eyes after. "how can you push your girlfriend away? what a boyfriend you are, bin." dongmin remarked before shaking his head and eating his meal. "no, it's okay. he's just mean because he's shy, behind the scenes he's so clingy to me" eunbi said, gossiping with dongmin right in front of moon bin. freaking right in front of me.  moon bin rolls his eyes again and taps the seat beside him, asking yoojung to just sit there.

"oh really, tell me about it"

"when we were in the library, i only went to get a book but he followed me and asked me.." eunbi drops her fork on the plate and poses dramatically. "why did you leave me? like, omg, why is he so obssessed with me?" dongmin laughed along with eunbi and they even did a high five. moon bin just ignores them and converses with yoojung, which eunbi noticed after the table got quiet and yoojung's shy laughter and moon bin's whispers is the only thing she can hear.

eunbi smacks the table, interrupting the pair's conversation. she then flashed a smile at them, seeming innocent for yoojung but total psycho for moon bin. "what are you both talking about? i'll join, it seems fun" moon bin frowns at her again and brushes her off. "it's none of your business, lady" eunbi held back a sassy comeback, her fan is watching and moon bin might be harder to seduce if she burns him to a crisp here.

eunbi clears her throat and just eats. dongmin sees this and brings up a new topic to ease the atmosphere (it felt heavy for him) "this is the perfect moment to tell you guys, i'm proposing a double date-"

"no, i refuse" moon bin said, not removing his gaze away from his plate. eunbi, intrigued, puts her chin on her palm and nods at dongmin. "shoot." moon bin pauses from eating and looks at eunbi with his head still bowed down to his plate, eunbi winks at him.

"let's go on a double date, moon bin" dongmin puts his hands together, wiggling his eyebrows at his friend who is now looking ridiculously at him. "who are you taking?" as far as moon bin knows, dongmin isn't seeing anyone. has someone caught his eye? "an actress i met at the workshop, i'll only introduce her to you if you come with eunbi"

moon bin shakes his head "eunbi and i don't do double dates, right baby?" he put emphasis on the last word and eyed her to agree with him. eunbi had another plan in mind though and she gasped, her eyes sparkled with excitement. "it's a great idea! we're totally coming" damn it. she smirks at moon bin, while the boy just sighed in defeat.

"nice, i like eunbi's flexibility. you should adapt it bin. the date's on friday" dongmin clapped his hands and pulls out his phone to text his supposed date.

author's note: i'm sorry for the short update after a long time, it's just that i really want to write but my mind won't cooperate with me. whenever i try to type something, i just go blank. i'm so sorry for this and i'm really thankful people are still reading my book despite of it being a slow burn type of book. i have other plots in my mind that i want to work on so i'm kinda messy right now with this book. i promise to finish it though and hopefully after publishing this chapter i can go back to enjoying writing without the fear of getting mindblocked. thank you for understanding. 💖
