Hannah's POV

This guy Charlie is a dead ringer for my ex Adam Sackler, even if his dress sense is a far cry from Adam's. Charlie is dressed in a black sweater with a grey shirt tucked into his black trousers, he is very smart and somewhat dowdy. He smells great though, and I've noticed that he keeps staring at me too. It would be funny if we ended up fucking in his apartment. Not the first time this has happened, back when I was in my twenties I had a weekend sex session with this hot doctor, who kinda reminded me of the actor Patrick Wilson. The same doctor who told me I was pregnant. It was one of the most unbelievable moments of my life, but the best as I got my little boy Grover.

We pull up outside an apartment building and Charlie pays the fare; I offered to go halves with him, but he insisted, which I thought was sweet. He takes me through to the massive marble lobby and presses the button for the elevator. He is pulling my suitcase for me, I'm not used to the men in my life being all chivalrous. "So, are you going to be in New York for long?" I look up at him, he is so unbelievably tall. "No, just for today and tonight. I'll be back in New Jersey tomorrow." The doors open and he lets me go in first. "Oh, so are you here on business or pleasure?" This is such a common line that gets used, and my answer is totally not the most general of answers. "I'm here looking for a sperm donor." If he still had that coffee that he spilled all over me he would have spat it out. He looks dumbfounded and I don't blame him, I would be too. "Seriously? That's brave going by yourself. Where's your boyfriend or husband?" He comes across as sweet and caring, I'm impressed by this Barber guy. "I'm single, I have a ten-year-old, I'm nearly forty and I'd like to have another baby before it's too late." He looks perplexed, I can't read him. I've only just met him and I'm spilling the whole of my life story. He must think why the hell did I offer to help this woman, the sooner she is gone the better. He surprises me with his answer, "I think that's fantastic. That's very admirable, doing it alone, I am a single father to a son, and it's hard enough when I see him every other week." He has a son too, I could tell he was a dad by the way he carries himself. "I have a son too, Grover. He is my everything. Thanks for your kind words, everyone else I know thinks I have lost my mind." The doors of the elevator opens and Charlie leads me to his apartment.
