The Void Between Hearts ~~ongoing~~

THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED this morning. I got up early, 5am. Called Boma immediately because she wasn't in the best mood last night. To my surprise, she sang me a  hillarious birthday song. That brightened up my day.

After the call, I got ready, prepared my suitcase and when I left the room, she was waiting outside my door, ready for Venice, in jeans, sunglasses and a smile. I made her take off the sunglasses, just to be sure she wasn't crying behind them. She wasn't, so I took her hand and we walked down to the reception where we checked out. The plan is to have breakfast on the plane.

Then the Limousine arrived to take us to the airstrip and she looked up at me, laughing. "Let me guess," she said. "We're flying first class to Italy?"

"Wrong," I said. "We're flying a private jet."

Her jaw dropped and her eyes popped. "You're kidding." she said, laughing.

"Super serious."

"Just because it's your birthday?"

"That's part of it, the other part was just tired of flying economy."

"Rich boy," she laughed.

Q: Did I buy a private jet?

A: Of course not, Mother sent hers.

Q: Are private jets as big as normal airplanes?

A: No. The capacity of a private jet is limited so that cuts the size.

Q: Which is better, flying a private jet or flying business class?

A: Personally, private jets are more comfortable, plus they take less boarding time. Whereas, business class is still part of a commercial plane  with commercial rules.

Q: What's the rave about private jets?

A: Minus the fact that it's a symbol of wealth and influence, private jets have a high passenger comfort standard. The air hostesses attend to only your need, and there's a wide range of dining options. Also, if your associate flyer is the love of your life, then you can kiss, cuddle and tickle in peace without making anyone uncomfortable. That beats any disadvantage you could think of.

Q: Is there less turbulence?

A: Hmm. Let's see, no. If it's a plane flying in rough skies, there's bound to be turbulence, private or not. However, a private jet will handle turbulence better because of its size.

Q: Is a private jet faster than commercial aircrafts?

A: I'll have to ask the pilot. Wait, I'll be with you shortly.

A: I'm sure you know. If you didn't, it's the privacy to kiss, cuddle and tickle at over 50,000 ft, without fearing we'll crash the plane.

A: Approximately twelve hours. We land at 10pm CEST that is Central European Summer time, which is 9pm West African Time.

Q: What's the most exciting event on my Venice list?

A: Tomorrow, my birthday.
