silence can make you
silence can overtake you
silence can dip you down
and swing you back up
all in a flash
so fast,
you wouldn't even know it happened.
silence is trustworthy.
silence is dependable.
silence can grow and grow and grow
and ring around in your ears
until you can't hear anything else
but the sound of silence.
silence is a gift
something to be treasured.
we underestimate the power
of silence
we let it take a step back
when we need it to strain,
to fight.
