Part 12

Anna pushed Ag away. Anna looked very confused.

"I'm sorry who are you?" Anna said.

"I- it's your girlfriend, bub, It's Ag." Ag started crying.

"Mom?! Since when was I ever dating a girl?" Anna said.

Ag fell to her knees. Sobbing.

Ag took out her phone to show Anna the tiktoks that they've made together over the past few days. She showed pictures on instagram. Snapchat. Everything.

POV AG
This can't be happening. This isn't real. No way. I don't believe it. I cant. She doesn't remember me. How? She remembered her mom? Why not me? So many questions. I was sobbing. As Ms. Shumate held me in her arms.

Anna saw the picture of her and Ag. Immediately she started to cry. Anna continued to cry... Until she passed out. Unconscious again. Heart rate was high. Brain activity spiked.

"ANNA!!" Ag screamed crying.

A few moments later Anna woke up. Acted like nothing happened. Anna felt dizzy, nauseous, and had a bad temperature. Ag was still on her knees

POV Anna
I woke up. Apparently I passed out again. Last thing I remember was seeing my mom I was in the hospital, laying on the bed. I also remember seeing Ag, but it was weird because I knew who she was but I couldn't put it into words. I remember pushing her away when I wanted to pull her close. I don't know what's happening. But I'm freaking out. Then I see a picture of Ag and I and I passed out. I came back moments later hearing Ag screaming on her knees holding my hand and I remember everything!

"Bub?" Anna said softly.

"Bub!" Ag said loudly.

Ag stood up and saw Anna. She gave her a hug and a kiss.

"Is this really you?" Ag said crying.

"Yea. It's me Bub." Anna said holding Ag's hand.

"You remember me too right?" Ms. Shumate said.

"Of course mom." Anna said crying.

The doctor came in and took anna to the MRI once again. He asked her a series of questions while she was in the lab.

"Age?" Dr. Howard said.

"17." Anna said.

"Date of Birth?" he said again.

"November 6th, 2002." Anna responded.

"Gender?" he asked.

"Female." Anna said.

"How many siblings do you have?" he asked.

"2." Anna said.

"What are their names? And how old are they?" he asked.

"Brandon, he is 8. And Tommy he is 19." Anna responded.

"What's your full name?" he asked.

"Anna Elizabeth shumate." she said.

"Do you have a boyfriend or girlfriend? If so what's their name?" he asked.

"Her name is Annagrace Mcdaniel otherwise known as Ag." Anna had a smile on her face saying that one.

"Excuse me?" the doctor said.

"The results of them MRI test came back." he said.

The tension in the room spiked dramatically. Ag held onto Annas hand as they waited for the doctor to show the scan. He showed them the scan.

"So. Your brain is actually fully healed from the missing piece. You should be able to go home tomorrow! Let me explain. The first MRI scan you had a space in your brain that stores all memories missing. Now because your heart is so strong because you play soccer and do a lot of running. Your heart was able to pump enough oxygen and blood to the brain to heal that part of the brain within a matter of  days. This my friend has never happened before. EVER. So God was really on your side for this one! You should be able to get outta here tomorrow!"

Anna started crying. She felt so grateful that her mom and Ag were there to stick by her side. Thank god for playing soccer! The next day they went home. Anna and Ag went to Sonic to get drinks. Ms. Shumate returned to her work.

11:32 p.m.

"Hey Bub?" Anna said.

"Yes, love?" Ag said putting her hand on annas thigh.

"We haven't been h word in awhile..." anna whispered into Ag's ear.

"oh. you're freaky." Ag said squeezing Annas thigh.

"No, Bub, I'm freaky freaky." Anna said holding up handcuffs...
