Lyle lazily threw her alarm clock nang sunod sunod na tumunog iyon. She hates waking up in the morning. Being an Engineering student is a no joke, hindi na nga yata niya alam kung paano ang matulog ng maaga dahil lagi na siyang natutulog sa umaga. She keeps herself busy from all the toxicity around. As usual, panay na naman away ang ama at ang kanyang step mother at siya na naman napagbubuntunan. She heavily weaved a sigh when she realized that another day with her evil stepmom is about to pass by. Palagi nitong sinasabi sa kanya na ang mahal ng gastos nito sa pagpapaaral sa kanya, that she could have took six month courses instead of pursuing Engineering. Sabi nga ng bestfriend niya, pasok sa kabila at labas sa kabilang tenga.

That is her mantra eversince her evil stepmom took charge of their household. Hindi siya makapagsumbong sa ama dahil sure naman siya na hindi lamang siya nito papaniwalaan. Mabuti na lang at wala siyang evil step sisters dahil ang mga anak nito ay nakapangasawa na pero maldita din ang turing sa kanya kaya naman malayo din ang loob niya sa mga ito. She is alone. Wala siyang kakampi. No one to turn to, only the household of Mendrez welcomingly accepted her which is okay.

They are warm except for the moody Psyche.
Bantulot siyang bumangon sa kama at naghahanda na papuntang University because she needs to be there before 8AM or Engr. Pimentel, her professor will scold her again. Engineering is so stressful, samahan pa ng mga dyaheng propesor na walang pang unawa sa cognitive abilities ng mga estudyante. Pakiramdam niya ay robot na siya bago pa maging isang ganap na inhinyero. Luckily, she arrived at the university earlier than expected. The cold room bring shivers to her spine, lahat ng mga kaklase niya ay nag aaral dahil mahilig sa surprise quiz ang kanyang terro professor, she is nervous as hell! Hindi niya natapos ang pagbabasa dahil kinatamaran niya ito unang pahina pa lamang. She heaved a curse when she saw the professor strictly greeted them and ask to pull their booklet sheets to solve a 20 item Math fucking problems. Mangiyak ngiyak na siya habang isinisulat ang unang problem because she roughly do not have any idea where these shits are coming from. Ngayon niya gustong kwestyunin ang sarili kung bakit siya kumuha ng kursong Engineering. To her dismay, she only got a score of 3 out of 20. That is a big blow to her because there is a high chance of failure for that major subject dahil ang ilang quiz niya sa subject na iyon ay bagsak din. She do not have any friends in her Department dahil maski ang ilang lalaki na nakikipagkilala sa kanya noon ay bigla na lang din nangilag sa kanya at parang takot na takot kapag lalapit pa lang siya. She do not have any idea what to do on how to ace that subject so she called her bestfriend, Shalani.Shalani took her to a nice milktea shop, hindi matigil tigil sng kanyang iyak habang pinapaalalahanan siya ng kanyang prof na malapit na niyang maibagsak ang subject niya na iyon. If she happen to fail the subject, she won't have any choice but to look for other departments and shift to another course. She cannot afford to shift to another class, it is her mother's dream, for her to become an Engineer because her mother is one of thema and she also love the rush of becoming one no matter how hard it takes. Hindi na magkandaugaga ang kaibigan niya sa pagkonsola sa kanya, she just can't stop herself from crying too much. Busy na itong nagtitipa sa kanyang selpon habang kunot kunot noo at parang baliw na tumatawa habang nagtitext.
"Poor Psyche, tinamaan yata ng pana ni Kupido." she mysteriously chidedI continued with my crying biz because I cannot move on! helloooo. Who wants to fail an Engineering major subject?

"I guess, I know the solution to your math fucking problem."
"what is it?" I asked
"Nope. It should be who is it?" Shalani smiled at me. "As you see, you just need a little tutorial about those math fucking problems you have to deal the whole school year and I cannot help you unless it is all about memorizing the whole damn world with continents and capitals. Alam mo naman na iisang tao lang sa pamilya namin ang magaling dyan. My Daddy Engineer or my Kuya na soon to be engineer. The latter could seriously help you since you have the same program and curriculum."

My pride cannot take it. Nahihiya ako na makita ni Psyche ang scores sa mga small time quizzes. Ayoko na isipin niyang panay Shawn Mendez lang ako and I cannot even pass small time quizzes. I cannot keep up with him, he is fifth time Dean's Lister ranking top 1. Ano lang ba ang rank ko? Top 1 Global Esmeralda? Mythical Glory 5k points and Starlight membership. Jusko, gusto ko na lang yata maging streamer tulad ni Mariel at magtanong tanong ng kung makikita mo ako baby anong gagawin mo? Kinginamers.
