"can we please stop talking about this? what does it matter?" Hueningkai was opening the windows to air out the house while he dusted.

"What does it matter? Kai you lied! If you can't read it means that you haven't been with your family for a while!" Soobin was trying to take hueningkais attention away from dusting to seriously talk with him.

"So? It was a little lie i got the big picture in there." Hueningkai huffed and walked outside with the bucket.

"Kai stop this is serious what else did you lie about?! We're trusting eachother remember! Slow down!" Soobin grabbed hueningkais arm to stop him, which made him spill the bucket of dirty water all over him.

"Are you happy? Let go! Why do you want to know so bad?!" Hueningkai picked the bucket up again and walked to the little waterfall they had swam at before to refill the water bucket.

"Kai! C'mon don't be like this I want to know because I care! I want to help you!" Soobin came behind Hueningkai to hug him from behind.

"I want us to be able to talk to eachother.....please?" Soobin buried his face in the crook of Hueningkais nape.

Hueningkais neck was tickled by soobins hair, but it felt bitter when he knew soobin was touchy about not being able to talk to people he loved.

"Hey...I'm sorry... You're right I was being too defensive don't cry." Hueningkai turned around and wiped soobins cheeks.

Soobin tried to lift his head but knocked his head against Kai's in the process, making Kai fall back into the water.

"Oh shit!- im- I'm sorry are you ok?" Soobin looked at the now wet boy sitting in the shallow of the water and offered his hand.

Kai wiped strands of his wet hair from his face and reached up for soobins hand, pulling him in with him.

"Hey! I was trying to apologize!" Soobin was only mad for a split second until he saw Kai laughing at him, it made him unconsciously laugh too.

"Alright alright, truce. Can I know?" Soobin took hueningkais hands to sway around the water, trying to convince him.

"I didn't lie about much else, the only fact that changed is that I was much younger." Hueningkai admitted. It wasnt hard to tell soobin, it was just embarrassing he found out that Kai can't read.

"Hey it's alright you didn't have to be embarrassed, I can't cook." Soobin tried to comfort Kai but only received a light slap to the shoulder.

"You jerk that's not as embarrassing as not being able to read..." Hueningkai fake cried.

"I'm sorry I'm sorryyyy what can I do to make it up to you? I just messed up like four ways of doing so..." Soobin felt embarrassed just thinking of how he, spilled the bucket on Kai, cried on his shoulder, bumped his head, knocked him into the water, and now embarrassed him.

"You're so bad at this. Then tell me some secret of yours, a GOOD one. One you wouldn't tell me. Like me telling you I can't read." Hueningkai stared and waited, seeing soobin think hard.

Soobin bit his lip. "Do you remember how we talked about Taehyun liking men? ......since then I've been thinking about that Everytime we...hang out?"

Hueningkai was confused, he didn't get what the hell soobin was trying to say.

"...ok? I remind you of Taehyun?"

Soobin quickly waved his hands. "Nonononono NO. No you don't. I was trying to say that...maybe I wouldn't be against, thinking like Taehyun does? With you. Only you. I feel like that around you." Soobin was trying so hard to confess and was failing horribly.

"Are you trying to say you love me?" Hueningkais question sent soobin in a frenzy.

"...yeah? Stupid I know I'm sorry I shouldn't have said that you probably don't want to be with a prince in a castle your whole life, let's forget it ok?"

Hueningkai blocked soobin by standing in front of him, not letting him leave the water.

"It's not stupid at all, why do you automatically assume I wouldn't like you?" Hueningkai furrowed his eyebrows.

This whole time he had been thinking about what dating soobin would be like. How when wanted to hold his hands, kiss him, call him cute names, stay together. Soobin had thought the same? It was just a lack of confession?

"My life has a lot of rules....I'm pretty sure you don't want to have a hidden relationship our whole life...." Soobin made Hueningkai realize that a gay prince would probably be quite the controversy.

"Right.....I'd be beheaded......that's fine! I don't care! We can hide it! I want to be with you!" Hueningkais stark contrast in that one sentence made soobin feel a roller coaster of emotions.

"I can love you?" Soobins voice sounded almost brokenly happy asking Hueningkai. It felt sad that soobin felt the need to get permission for loving someone.

"You can love whoever you want soobin. We're not in the castle right now. Do what you want, no one's telling you what to do." Hueningkai moved soobins hair from his eyes to see the puppy dog gaze he was giving Hueningkai.

"I can do what I want?"

"Yes."

"Anything?"

Hueningkai didn't get to reply before soobin did what he wanted to do so badly.

Hueningkai hadn't realized how much feeling soobin had been repressing until he was being kissed by him.

Soobin had kissed Kai once before but this time he didn't lie about why. He just savored every bit of the kiss before pulling away to breathe.

Hueningkais face was flushed and he subconsciously leaned forward not wanting to break the kiss.

"You-" Hueningkai was kissed again before he could even speak. Soobin was practically pinning him to the shallow water now, so hueningkai held soobins shoulders.

"Beomgyu?! BEOMGYU?!" Taehyun had quickly picked up his basket, panicking over the princes dissapearence.

Taehyun walked along the trail by the river, seeing if maybe he was taken and they didn't get far but wet hands suddenly covered his eyes from behind him.

Taehyuns training instinct had kicked in and he flipped the person over his shoulder, making him land on the ground in front of him.

Taehyun was holding the person to the ground by the throat but very quickly stopped seeing it was just beomgyu, soaked with water.

"BEOMGYU WHAT THE HELL?!"
