"Stina Heks." Keefe snorted.
Foxface fits her better.
Caesar Flickerman gestured for Stina to sit down. Sophie didn't pay attention at all, then the next tribute from District 5, the boy blamed for stealing the dagger. Sophie wasn't listening until one word punched her in the face.
"Yes Caesar, I volunteered as tribute. For my sister Linh." The rest of his interview was one-word answers, 'Tam' pulling his bangs down over his eyes.
All of a sudden, the other tributes were interviewed, and district twelve was up, Sophie's name called. She straightened her blood-red, off the shoulder gown, and remembered what Cinna told her. Pretend it was him asking the questions. Sophie didn't show it, but she was so nervous she thought she would die before the games even started.
"Here she is! Sophie Foster, one of the only two with twelve points!" The evaluations had given Sophie a rating, and she had scored the highest possible. The Evaluations video ended, and Sophie sat in the seat beside Caesar. "What is your favorite thing about the Capitol?" Sophie laughed.
"I haven't seen much of it, but so far, its the lamb stew!" Laughs echoed and Sophie smoothed her skirt.
"You were a volunteer, yes?" Sophie sighed.
"I was. Amy was called, and I'll always protect her. I'll win for Amy."
"Isn't that sweet? The audience was buzzing over the flaming chariot. Cinna said you had something to show us?"
"I do!" Sophie jumped to her feet and twirled, the fabric rising up to create the illusion of fire.
"Isn't that something!"
