On that journey our last visiting point was Lucknow. There we discovered that our uncle is really a history lover. He took us to every historical place there and told us so many stories about the place .He also mentioned that all those stories are so unique that we couldn’t find them written in any book. He used to travel with his big rucksack .After reaching  in Lucknow we found that it was almost empty because my uncle had left most of his belongings at the hotels of Benaras, but fortunately we found that his money bag was still there. The very next day he came from a curio shop in Lucknow with a huge sized old clock with so many torn wires coming out from it .My brother named it octopus clock. Uncle said proudly ,‘Every bitter incident has a bright side.  If my travel bag hadn’t been empty I wouldn’t have been able  make place for it.’

‘But what’s this piece of contraption? ’We exclaimed.

He announced at as loud as he could, ‘It is one of the earliest clocks used after renaissance, so it has  great historical value. I had to pay only rupees seven thousands and something for this marvellous thing! .Can you imagine?’

We examined the clock very carefully and questioned,’But uncle look , now it’s of no use. It is not running!’

‘So what?’,uncle became little annoyed ‘I’d never use it to watch  the time. It will be hanged in entre of our drawing room’s wall as a masterpiece!

While returning from Lucknow,  Kanpur to Howrah down train got stopped at a very lonely forest like place .Nobody knew the reason  and everyone looked worried .Some of them also start guessing about the sudden attack of forestside  dacoits. The most intolerable thing was that our uncle also joined them and started telling them stories about the types of dacoits he met in his youth.

Time passed, the  train didn’t move even slightly, we somehow knew that a large crowd of local village people has block the railway of our train .We were in one of the back compartments so couldn’t see anything but heard that they all had weapons ,would continue the gherao until their demands   would be fulfilled .The babies in that compartment became inpatient  and started wailing. Mom brought us closer to her. Everybody except uncle looked tensed. Suddenly uncle stopped his storytelling and ordered everybody in our compartment to not come out. Then he himself marched towards the door  with his big rucksack and got down .Before all that he assured us that he was going to stop the agitation to make the train start again.
