When Gulf woke up the next morning, he looked over to his side to find that Mild had already gotten up and was probably in the kitchen with Pear. He groggily got out of the cozy bed, stretching as he got on the floor to dig through his bag. After shuffling past a few shirts, he saw it. Gulf saw the one thing most precious to him. The one thing that never left it's special spot in his closet. The one thing that was private and personal. The box.

Gulf stormed out to the kitchen, the box in his grasp, to confront his friends, "Did you guys pack this in my bag?"

Pear and Mild shared a worried glance before Pear gave Gulf an apologetic look, "Look, we knew you were going through something and we thought it might help."

"Oh, so you looked through it, too?" Gulf's eyes were brimming with tears already.

Mild frowned, "We just found it while we were packing your bag. We were curious is all."

"I share everything with you guys," Gulf's voice trembled, "Every single aspect of my life. This was the one thing I had to myself. The one, last little bit of privacy I had." His tears fell, "Something of my own that I knew neither of you could understand."

"Hey, that's not true," Pear's voice told the boys that she was hurt.

Gulf scoffed and raised his eyebrows, "Oh so you know how it feels to lose both of your parents in the blink of an eye?" Gulf shot his rebuttal.

"Well no, but-"

Gulf cut her off, "You know what it's like to be an outcast your entire life? To be made fun of and bullied because you're an orphan? To have to figure life out all at once because there's no one to guide you?"

A telling silence flooded the room.

"No, you don't," Gulf carried on with a broken voice, "Because you both grew up with loads of money, with both parents, and everything handed to you. And that's not your fault, but don't you ever say that you can understand what I went through because you can't."

Gulf was out of breath from his rant as he stomped back to the room for his bag. He called an Uber and left the house without saying another word to Mild or Pear. Gulf managed to hold his tears back on the ride home, but once he was in the familiar security of his own bedroom he let everything out. He cried until he was mentally, emotionally, and physically too exhausted to stay awake.

When he woke up, Gulf's face was puffy and his eyes were nearly swollen shut. He checked the time and mentally cursed himself. It was 5:00pm.

Today was one of the rare Saturdays that Gulf needed to go into the office, so he rushed into the bathroom for a shower. Rushing through his routine, Gulf let his hair air dry as he got dressed in a nice pair of black jeans and a navy button down. He knew he could dress more casually on weekends, and it's not like he needed to look good for anyone, so Gulf wasn't really worried about his appearance.

When he was ready, Gulf checked the time again with a sigh. He had just enough time to take an Uber to the shop, pick up his car, and drive to work. And that's exactly what he did.

Gulf got to the office around 6:15pm and went straight to work. He sat at his desk, not bothering to greet his boss on the way. Mew knew that Gulf had arrived, but it saddened him to know that their relationship wasn't what it once was. He knew it was his own fault for being greedy, but he couldn't let go of Air. Not yet.

When Gulf heard a knock of his office door, he assumed it was Mew, so he rolled his eyes, "Come in!"

The door opened and in walked a petite figure, "Hello, Gulf."

Gulf looked up from his computer to find Air standing on the other side of his desk, "What're you doing here?"

"What're you doing wearing those pitiful clothes at Mew Suppasit's building?" Air snapped back.

Gulf glared at her, "What do you want, Air?"

Air shrugged with an innocent smile, "Just wanted to have a little chat."

With a sigh, Gulf crossed his arms, "Have a seat."

After sitting, Air crossed her legs and adjusted her dress, "Mew has been really worried about you lately."

"He put you up to this?" Gulf scoffed, "Tell him to stop worrying. I'm not his responsibility."

"No, he didn't put me up to anything," Air crossed her arms to mirror Gulf, "I actually came here to tell you to quit working here."

Gulf clenched his jaw, "No." He chuckled sarcastically and shift in his chair, "Absolutely not."

"What do you mean no?" Air's brows furrowed.

Gulf sighed, "I need this job. Trust me, if I could leave, I would. But last time I checked, I don't take orders from you, so if you could kindly get the hell out of my office." He stood up and walked to the door, holding it open for Air to leave.

In utter disbelief, Air moved to stand in front of Gulf, only a few inches between them, "Fine. Just know that I can, and will, ruin your life. You will regret this."

Gulf showed a tough exterior, but as soon as Air left, he ran to the bathroom, locking himself in one of the stalls and sinking to the floor. He was so overwhelmed that he emptied his tear ducts for the second time in one day. Gulf felt more alone now than he had in years. He couldn't believe that this catastrophe was actually his life.

His boss was the world's biggest idiot, his best friends broke his trust, and now Mew's crazy girlfriend was threatening him. This was unreal.

When he heard the bathroom door open, Gulf covered his mouth with his hand, trying to muffle his sobs.

"Gupi?" Mew's soft voice echoed.

The sound of his boss's voice just made Gulf cry harder, making him too loud to go unnoticed now. Mew walked to the stall where the quiet sounds originated, "Come out and talk to me. I need you to feel better and you can't feel better while you're locked up in a bathroom stall."

Hesitantly, Gulf pulled himself off of the floor and onto his feet despite his knees clearly wanting to give up on him, "Why? You won't believe me anyway."

Mew frowned, "Why wouldn't I believe you?"

Gulf didn't know how to tell Mew that it wasn't just Air, but that the whole world felt like it was crumbling down on him. So he just with the most recent issue. Air. The woman that Mew was in love with was the same woman threatening Gulf at work.

Mew just sighed again, "Look, I know I'm not exactly your favorite person right now, but I still care about you, believe it or not. I want to make sure you're alright so please, open the door."

With Mew's final words, Gulf unlocked the door and stepped out of the stall to face his boss, "You really want to know?"

Mew took in Gulf's shaking body and swollen face, realizing just how upset the younger boy was, "Yes. Why were you crying?"

Gulf looked into Mew's eyes with his own, cold and dark orbs, "It was Air."
