I held him by the throat against the cell wall, his ankles hovering just above my knees. I'll give him one thing, he is heavy as a fucking elephant, but i'm strong enough. I squeezed harder before letting him drop like a rag-doll onto the crumpled floor.
"Peter, clean him up. I need him well enough before I go on again. Fix him up as fast as you can- I don't care what you have to use." I spoke to Peter my most trusted doctor. He was older with grey hairs dotting his stubble but his jet black hair remained the same. Funny really, he was more of a father than my sperm donor was.
"Yes Commander, is there anything else you need?"
"No. And Peter, how many times do I have to tell you to call me E5? Please, when its just us enough with the formalities."
"Yes Comman-E5." He said with a warm smile on his face. Although he was older, he was still very in tune with the new techniques and the world around him and didn't do the old age thing where people hold their phones as far away from them as they can and still say 'I cant see it' . My response is always the same, 'no shit Sherlock, it's a fucking light year away from your face.' And then proceed to slap it so it flings into their face. What? Maybe if it gets a bit closer they could see!
I left the cell to Peter and his magic fairy tip wand healing shit and headed to the gym. Tokyo wouldn't be here until the morning and he wouldn't be able to get in without my signal; I can seriously have some more fun with my new rag doll downstairs.
I ran to my room which was a basic guest bedroom (as i rarely slept at the warehouse) and pulled out my black shorts and sports bra, tied my long auburn hair into a ponytail and headed to the gym. I wouldn't have long, but I needed to blow off some steam before I sentence that man to his own personal hell. It was one of my favourite hobbies, seeing what people were scared of. It gave me leverage when I would need it.
Walking into the room I let out a small hum as my feet hit the mats. I grabbed a pair of boxing gloves and started lightly hitting the bag with an occasional kick to keep them at their best. I zoned out, letting my instincts be free and live a little before I have to go back to the cells. The gym and training always helped me sort out my problems, but I had a small weight in my stomach telling me something was going to happen - and I was not going to like it.
"E5, he's stable and ready for your next move. I'll be waiting, but before you come down I just wanted to let you know that he's saying things incoherently. I can't make out what hes saying but that might be my old age, however it may be in a language you specialise in."
I didn't answer, ran out the room and ditched my gloves on the floor somewhere. Someone will pick them up at some point. They wouldn't want to anger the HBIC so it'll be done before i go back upstairs in the next few days. I burst through the doors not caring what state I was in, humming a song that I had heard earlier. I skipped towards the man I called Bob and grabbed his chin in my hand, forcing him to look at me.
He was drained. Physically he was beaten to a pulp, but that wasn't enough for me. See, I have a terrible temper and my favourite quote is 'Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned' and trust me, as a genius and assassin, I've been scorned many times before.
"I see the mark on your arm, tell me, why have you come back? We had an agreement with your group, yet here you are. Every time you give me the wrong answer, the punishment gets worse." I state, looking at him right in the eyes. Well, eye, since I tore the other one out. That made me chuckle and I got some funny looks for it. You can't blame me! He looks like a pirate! Youknow, eye-eye captain? Just me that finds that funny?
He just looks at me. I cant believe him! I begin to feel my blood boil and my temper rise. My eyes darken and Peter starts to back away towards the wall. They all know the drill at this point. I walk up to Bob and press my blade along his hand, trailing all veins and muscles. I wasn't pressing hard enough to make major cuts, but the incisions were enough to draw blood.
"I will ask again, why are you here? We had an agreement."
"I'd rather you kill me." He shouted with a calm facade on his face but his eyes told a different story. Eyes are the gateway into the soul so it's the only place to find true feeling.
"Tell me, Bob, do you have any family?" I whisper as i walk round him like a predator does with their prey.
He mutters something incoherently and before you could say 'hey presto' my dagger flew past him - a hairs width from his ear. His breathing becomes shallow and I now know I've hit a jack pot.
"You've got one chance le-left" I sang, still humming along to the beat of the song I chose.
"If I tell you, will you leave my family alone? Please, they're only young and don't deserve this life." He sobbed. GOD I HATE PEOPLE WHO SOB. It's the last stage in pleading for your life and my least favourite. I mean, I love my job but it isn't something I can be bothered to listen to all the time youknow? The whole 'please, they forced me, I had no choice' phrase is such bullshit. Everyone has a choice in this world, and whether you make the correct ones draws who you become.
I nod, telling him i'd consider it. Truth be told, I wont. Don't know his name or identity and I don't care to find out either.
"They're back because they want stuff. I don't know what, or why, but they've got more allies now and they are gaining them quickly. I don't think they're counting on their agreement with you anymore- apparently they've got bigger connections now."
As soon as his last word is spoken, I draw both katanas from my back, cross them over in a 'X' shape and swung at his shoulders. Placing my katanas on my back and picking up my dagger from the sheath on my thigh, I picked up his head by his hair and carved my devil-horned signature into his head.
"Take this to Micheal and tell him to throw it outside Cyrus' bar. Give Cyrus the notice that it'll be there and to not move it until it is moved itself, I don't need a crazy hormonal teenage boy on my ass." I spoke as I dismissed him with my hand, seeing him nod in my peripheral vision. Peter was a good employee.
I crept up into my room and hopped into the shower to wash off the blood and dirt from my body. I wasn't a fan of hot showers, so freezing showers were my only option. I washed my hair with my rip off brand shampoo and conditioned my hair. What, you expected me to use 3in1 shower wash? Fuck right off, I may be insane...but that's a different level.
I got out of the shower and sent a text to Tokyo,
Tokyo, I got information. They're back and
they're stronger. I don't know why, but they're
allies with bigger corporations. I'll explain more
when I see you in the morning. And, no need to
come to the warehouse, I sorted the present.
Sorry, I took it away from you. But he was
pushing my buttons. Guess I'll have to get you
something better.
Agent E5.
It was 2am and I had to be up for 5am for training. I slipped into my bed and thought over the interrogation with Bob. Why were they back, and what did they want?--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
E's cornerHello all! So this is Chapter 3. Its a shorter one but my original plan for this was going to be wayyy too long, so i thought id share it over a few different chapters. I've got more chapters planned and loads of new characters about to be introduced which should be good!
So, what do you think so far?
