i laughed at the last message he texted me before putting my phone down and continued reading. just then my phone made a ding sound. i reached for it and opened my notification.

junkyu:
i am oddly sad. :   (((

i looked at my window and saw junkyu who was standing near his window, pouting. i laughed as i started typing.

ahreum:
do you know this dude

i looked at junkyu's unreadable face who was staring at his phone.

junkyu:
a friend, why?

ahreum:
he talked to me and told
me he wanted to be my
friend! ^^

junkyu raised his head before looking at me. i smiled at him as he just pouted in response.

does he think he's cute? who am i kidding? he is cute.

junkyu:
am i replaced? ;—;

ahreum:
what? no! you're also
my friend.

i looked at him who was just staring at his phone for a whole minute and i have no idea what's taking him so long. uhm... does he not want to be my friend?

junkyu:
okay cool! ^ o ^

i sighed in relief as i looked at him again who was now grinning.

junkyu:
but i should be your
number one friend!

ahreum:
haha. okay okay.

so how was school?

junkyu:
you did not have to bring
that up ;—;

and the conversation went on with him ranting about how much he hates school.

"ahreum! it's time for bed!" jaehyuk barged inside my room and looked at me who was staring at my phone screen. he smirked before crossing his arms and said. "tell junkyu hyung. you have to sleep."

"h-how did you know-"

"who else could it be?" jaehyuk chuckled. "close the curtains now." he said as i typed a quick good night to junkyu saying that jaehyuk wants me to go to sleep before i stood up to close my curtains.

as i was closing it, junkyu waved at me from his room, giving a really warm smile at me. i smiled at him as i returned the wave. jaehyuk cleared his throat, causing me to glance at him. "you do realize i am still here, right? i can see what's happening." he chuckled.

i couldn't help but blush furiously before i hurriedly close the curtains and shove jaehyuk out of my room.

"out please!" i pouted as jaehyuk snickered. "i am weirdly offended now sis. do you not love me anymore?" jaehyuk pouted and started doing puppy eyes. i could only roll my eyes. "don't be so dramatic, jaehyuk." i deadpanned as he chuckled and kissed my forehead.

"i'm just worried for the two of you, ahreum." his face soften as i looked at him.

"he will never like me back, hyuk. he would not want a sick person as a girlfriend so don't worry." i gave him a small smile.

jaehyuk ruffled my hair. "good night, ahreum. get some sleep so that you can grow taller." i glared at jaehyuk before i playfully punched his shoulder in which he fake cried. "good night, jaehyuk. now go away!" i shoved him out of my room and closed the door.

i went to my bed and looked at my phone for the last time.

ahreum:
anyway, good night junkyu!
jaehyuk wants me to go to
bed now. hngggg

junkyu:
aww : ((( too bad. i wanted
to talk to you more.
