Chapter 2

Jacob Moore

"The day is like any other." I scoff at that, my sister who wanted me to read this dumb book to her glares at me. And let me say this for a 8 and a half year old she knows how to glare. I continue reading the book. When I look at the time I see that I'm gonna be late for band if I stay.

"Bye Cheyenne. Love you." I say leaving my sister in the hands of our step mom.

When I get to the field the HD is setting the tubas and other lager instruments out. I meet up with some people I know and we walk over there. As I pass one of the Freshman I hear someone say mine. I look to see who but don't find any one. Soon Dylan South comes up to us.

"Uh sorry Jacob. Pup we need to go." He says pull the girl with the pretty light grey eyes away. I snap out of it and go to the band stands. Percussion is freaking life. I walk over to my instrument, I am head percussionist and play the quads. I pick it up and uncase, as I walk to the band stands.

Belle

After Dylan makes me leave, he tells me that He is a senior and the head percussionist. Great not only is my mate a human he's older and a part of one of the most annoying groups in the band. I tell my Dirators that I'm not feeling well and that Dylan is taking me home. When we get home our Dads greest us. "Where's mom?" I asked my dad.

"In the living room. Why are you home early, don't you have a game?"

"I found my mate." I say shyly and both My dad and Mr. Kennth looked shocked.

"Who is he?"

"Is he strong?"

"What pack is he from?"

"How old is he?"

They take turns asking.

"I don't know his last name but his name is Jacob, I think, He's Human, and Jacob is a Senior." I say mumbling the part about Jacob being human but due to them having wolf ears they heard and let's just say I was sent to my room and was not to come out until Dad and Kennth talked about it. There also might have been choice words from the both of them. Dylan comes up to my room with me.

"Do you think that they will still let me and him lead? How do I tell him what a mate is?" I ask my best friend.

"You tell him straight out what you are and what it means and what he will be." he says.

Right, just tell him nothing could go wrong. I roll my eyes at the thought.

I sit on my bed and pull Dylan down with me. " Hey pickle," he hums, "what will happen to our cuddles when you find your mate?"

"Well when she comes into the picture you will be fully mated and no longer need my cuddles Pup." he says

I shake my head. " I will always need my Pickle Cuddles."

Someone knocks on the door and I call to let them know they can enter.

"Aww look at my babies." mom says.

"Hey Luna Louisa." Dylan says.

"I just came up to say that James and Kennth want to talk to you Pup." Mom says. I sigh knowing it is going to be about mating and what to do since he's a human. I get up and walk to dad's office.

"Come on in Pup." Kennth says through the door.

I enter and wait for them to say something

Jacob

After the game, we win by the way, I try to find the girl from before. I don't find her but I do find Dylan sitting close to my case.

"Hey Jacob, can we talk at my place? I know that you're looking for Belle." He says. I just nod and put everything in my case and load it in the bus.

When we get to what Dylan calls a 'smaller house' (it is a huge apartment building) we are greeted by a woman, "Dylan who is your friend?" She asks

"This is Jacob Moore." He says stressing my name. The women has a flash of understatement in her eyes for a moment

"We come on in. would you like anything to drink or a snack?" I shake my head no.

Dylan takes me up to a room that I am guessing is his due to the fact that there are pictures of him with the girl and others. We sit and talk for a while until someone opens the door.
