Chapter 9

Belle

I am watching some show about a dog that has a blog when someone knocks on the door. I go near the door and smell the air. I went and opened the door after Dylan's scent came to my nose.

I opened the door and his shocked face was the first thing I saw. "Is your mom or dad still up? Jacob was kicked out and needs an apartment."

Hearing that my mate was kicked out I ran to my parents room knocking loudly so they would wake up or stop what they were doing. "Mom! Dad! Get out here, I need to ask you guys something." I yell.

They run out the door and they stop when they see it is just me and Dylan in the room. "What did you need pupper?" My father asks me to put an arm around my mother.

"My mate needs a place to stay. Can he live in the building? it will help him learn about us." I say trying to get them to agree. I leave out the part about his sisters staying as well. They look at each other and talk through their link.

"Yes him and his sisters can stay here." my mother says "And be for you ask ,Dylan linked us about his sisters needing to stay. What their Step-mom is doing is wrong and they should not need to kick out their kids and then tell them to come back in nine months to get the new baby. There is an open one down the hall. It was for you when you and your mate were ready but they can use it now." Me and Dylan both nod and we go back to his apartment.

Jacob POV

We are sitting in the living room with Dylan's mom and dad. His mom is trying to get us to eat something but the girls aren't hungry and I don't want to be a bother so we decline. When Dylan walks back into the apartment Bella is with him and he has his arm around her. When I see that, a pang of jealousy and anger. I clear my throat and she looks over at me and shrugs his arm off.

"Good news you can stay here in the apartment down the hall right away and rent free." Bella says with a smile on her face. The girls' faces brighten at the news.

"Is there bad news?" Olivia asks her a frown replacing the smile that was there. The older shakes her head at my sister and the smile is back on her face. "Can we go see?"

Dylan is the one to speak now " yeah but you have to be quiet right now because others are sleeping okay?" she nods and jumps off of the couch and runs to the door.

We follow Bella to the end of the hall where she takes out two keys and hands one to me and the other to Viki. I unlock the door and the four of us walk in. It is an open layout from the kitchen, living room, and dining room with only an island and bar in between the dining room and kitchen. There is a staircase that leads to the second floor, to the right of the hall to the bathroom and guest room. We go up stairs and we see a lot of doors.

"The one and the very end of the hall is the master-bed by the way." Bella says. I go to the room she is talking about and look in the room.

The room is huge. There are four doors all leading to different things the first to were closets the next one was a huge bathroom my old room could fit twice in here the last one was a balcony looking over the city. "Wow." I say and Bella walks over to me and smiles at me. I don't know why but I pulled her into a hug; sparks flying from her skin to mine. She doesn't hug back right away but when she does I feel like I belong in her arms.

"Can you stay?" I ask before I think about it. "Uh.. Just for the rest of the night if you want you can even stay in one of the other rooms." I add when she looks up at me shocked.

"Can i stay in your room with you?" she walks to the bed and sits on it. I nod and go over to my bag to get my pjs and go to the bathroom to change. When i come back out i see her leaning against the headboard on her phone laughing at something. "Can I sleep in your shirt since i don't have any pjs?" she asks when she realizes i am watching her. I nod and head it to her. She turns around and puts it on over the other clothes she is wearing and then she takes off the top under mine and her jeans. My shirt covers just enough for it to be modest but is just short enough for when she bends over to pick up the clothes from the floor, I can see her underwear. I go to the right side of the bed and get in it as she puts her clothes on the chair in the corner.

"Why do I feel like I've known you my entire life even though we met just this year?" I think out loud as she gets into the bed as well and moves to my side.

She lays her head on my chest and answers my question with a question of her own. "Do you believe in soulmates?" I nod. "Do you believe in werewolves?" I look down at her and answer.
