Hollowed are large croc like creatures who are the largest of the 3 races. They often have green to black scales and brightly colored necks. The brighter the color the older and stronger the individual.
They are extremely aggressive and power-driven, and are often driven to acts of cannibalism. When a mother lays a clutch of eggs, she will be extremely protective over them; though this is out of greed instead of love or care. Each offspring has a tiny bit of her soul, and as the egg develops the soul creates energy as it normally would. When the eggs hatch the soul has double or more of the original piece's energy, which the mother often sees as a free feast. However, it is not unheard-of hatchlings attacking and draining their mother's soul for themselves, or even killing her and eating her soul.
Unlike Cain or Wechuge, they eat the lost souls they find and cannot travel or interact with the mortal realm unless they are summoned or have extreme amounts of soul energy to use. They are also the only race who have no soul of their own and use the souls they eat to "create" their own soul, generating their own soul energy.
These true monsters are mortal enemies of the Wechuge, and the two races will kill each other on sight. When one dies, the winner claims the other's souls.
