~Narrator~
The two boys finally arrive to the park. The both walk to the park bench and sit down. Eddie looks at Richie as if he's waiting for him to say something but at the same time, he's a little concerned as to what his friend is about to tell him.
"E-Eddie?"
Richie has never stuttered before. Eddie was getting nervous.
"Yeah. What's going on?" Eddie says in a concerned tone.
"I've been feeling...different. I-I know that I am not the same as some of the other kids because I see...y'know...guys. In the hallways and I...Eddie what I'm trying to tell you is that I-I'm...I'm g-gay."
Richie says, his whole body shaking.
Eddie looks at Richie, not knowing how to respond. Eddie quickly gives Richie a huge hug. Eddie starts to cry. Richie is also crying at this point and the two boys just sit there hugging for a few seconds.
"Thank you for telling me." Eddie whispers into Richie's ear, while still hugging. They release from the hug and just sit there looking at each other for a moment.
"So, are you gonna tell the other losers?"
"Yeah, I just don't know when and how."
"Alright, I'm gonna head home. You want me to ride you back home, Eds?" Richie says.
"You know what. Why not?" Eddie says with a smile.
The two boys ride back to Eddie's house and stop at the door.
"Hey Eddie."
"Yeah?"
"I love you, Eds."
"I love you too, Richie."
The boys hug each other and Eddie steps inside his house. They say their goodbyes and Richie leaves.

~Richie's POV~
Wow. That went FAR better than I expected. Eddie took it really well and he seemed to be really proud of me. Maybe him knowing this can make us stronger together. As for the other losers, I don't know how they'll react. I'm pretty sure they'll accept me but try even harder to make it seem like Eds and I are dating, which we aren't. But I do think that he has a crush on me. I'm not prepared for when he tells me that, if he does. I think I'll just talk to him later about all that. Or should I? The last thing I wanna do is make him uncomfortable, especially now, since he knows that I'm gay. I don't know what the hell to do.
———————————————————————————
~Eddie's POV~
I'm proud of Richie for telling me that. He's so brave to even try to be who he is and I appreciate that. But, should I tell him how weird I've been feeling? I feel like it's either I'm gay or puberty is being weird. I've never really had feelings for anyone like I do for Richie, though. It's almost like we're more than just friends. But we are just best friends and that's it. I know Richie, he won't wanna be in a relationship with anyone, let alone me. But I don't like him in that way, right?

~Narrator~
Eddie sits in his room for nearly an hour just thinking and going over what he's gonna do in his head. Eddie decides to experiment. A few girls at school have been giving him the "I hate that I like you" look. He decided that on Monday, he will talk to a girl he started talking to in the hallway named Nicole. She had long, blonde hair and seemed to be interested in Eddie. She was on a higher rank, in terms of popularity, than the losers. She definitely wasn't the most popular girl at school but she was up there.

*Sunday*

~Narrator~
Eddie has decided to finally talk to the losers since they hadn't been talking to each other a lot after the whole IT situation. He grabs his Walkie Talkie.
"Hey, guys?" Eddie says, hoping for an answer.
Eddie tries a few more times but no one answers.
He gives up and rides his bike over to the arcade.
He looks inside and sees that Richie is there.
———————————————————————————
~Eddie's POV~
Oh shit. Why does it seem like everywhere I go, Richie is there? Should I go inside and say hi or go inside and try my best to avoid him? But I don't want him to think I'm avoiding him because he's gay because that's far from the truth. Well now that I'm here, there's really no point in going back home, is there?
———————————————————————————
~Narrator~
Eddie walks into the arcade and greets Richie. Richie seems genuinely happy to see Eddie.
"Hey Eds, whatcha doing here?"
"Just came to play some PacMan! What are you doing here?"
"Trying to beat the Street Fighter high score." Richie says.
"Hey, you wanna play with me?" Richie asks.
"Uh...sure why not?" Eddie said.
The two boys played Street Fighter until they were played out. Eddie knew that he went against his original plans but...he didn't care. He enjoyed hanging out with his best friend and if that meant he had to go against his original thoughts, he didn't care. Richie looks at Eddie and Eddie looks back.
———————————————————————————
~Richie's POV~
I think I'm in love with this boy. He's so cute. We have sleepovers, play video games and joke around all the time. He's my everything. I truly don't know where I would be without him. But, he's straight. Well, allegedly straight but still straight. We're just friends and that's all he'll ever see me as. A friend.
Why am I setting myself up to get my heart broken. All he'll do is reject me and it'll ruin our friendship and it'll be all my fault.
———————————————————————————
~Narrator~
Richie quickly walks out of the arcade.
"Richie, wait! Where are you going?!?"
Richie rides away on his bike, crying.
———————————————————————————
~Eddie's POV~
Did I do something wrong? Just a second ago, we were smiling at each other and now he's riding away on his bike seeming to be upset. I need to set things right. Maybe I did something homophobic accidentally or he took something the wrong way or maybe I actually did do something wrong and I'm thinking about it weird. Either way, I need to find out what's wrong.
