Driving away from the driveway, we all are comfortable, yet scared.

Marcus leans over turning on the radio, we are young starts playing. Turning the volume up, we hear Matthew let out a few whoops, knowing this was our song.

"So if by the time the bar closes, and you feel like falling down, i'll carry you home.." We all started singing, smiles on all of our faces.

"Tonight... we are young. So let's set the world on fire, we can burn brighter, than the sun,"

All laughing and smiling, we continue singing as Marcus drives up onto the empty highway.

Getting chills, never have i seen the highway so empty.

Marcus notices my emotions change, he grabs my hand a intertwines it with his. Giving a light squeeze.

Turning my head over to him slightly, as everyone was still singing, he turns and smiles at me as he drives.

"Now i know that i'm not all that you got, i guess that- Woah Marcus what out!" Charles pointed out when we reached the end of the highway.

Marcus quickly turns his attention to the road as he sees what we all see.

Empty cars.

"Woah.." I said, looking at the view in front of us. "You don't think anyone's in there do you?" Emily asked, gulping.

"No, i-i don't think so," Marcus replied.

"Wait look- there's an opening over there," Martha said point to the far left.

Marcus heads for that direction, speeding in a way, obviously wanting to get off the highway.

Once off the highway, we make our way to mcdonald's, to see if anyone is there- and also a request from Matthew.

"Ooh can't wait to eat those yum yum fries!" Matthew said, rubbing his hands together.

"The fries probably have mold by now." Kayla mumbled. Gasping, Matthew threw his pillow at her.

"Okay let's calm down, i see the mcdonald's from here." Martha said, unbuckling her seatbelt. "Are you crazy?! Put your seatbelt back on!" Emily said to Martha as we started getting closer to the mcdonald's.

Walking into mcdonald's, it was found empty.

Tables left with food, probably from the costumers before anything happened. "It's like they just got up and left, not minding anything," I said walking towards the cash register counter.

"Hello? Anybody in here?" I asked out, walking to the back, Matthew and Charles following me.

Charles gasps, making me turn, "What?!" I asked turning around, "Oh- nothing, i just saw the fries, and i got excited. Sorry" He said walking towards the fries.

"Seriously Charles you scared the living shit out of me." I said following him and Matthew.

Marcus, Martha, and Emily were looking around the front of the store.

"Marcus when are you going to do it?" Asked Martha. "Do what?" Marcus replied, in pure confusion.

Emily lets out a few laughs, "Ask her out silly, we all know you like her." She said, walking out of the bathrooms,

"Who?" He asked, still confused. "Cassidy stupid!" Emily replied, "We all see the way you look at her, trust us, she feels the same way." Blushing, Marcus replied, "I don't like her, we're just friends. That's all." Laughing, Kayla come inside the fast food restaurant, "It's so obvious that you two have heart eyes for each other,"

Jumping, we all let out a sigh, "Kayla- you scared us, where did you even come from-" Martha asked, "Was checking around from the outside, back to Marcus, Ask her out dude. She really does like you."

Looking back at the three girls Marcus finally gives in, "She does?" He asked, "Don't act like you did hold hands in the car while driving stupid," Emily says, "What are you losers talking about?" Charles asks, walking into the front of the restaurant with Matthew and Cassidy behind him,

"Nothing!" "Uh talking about how nice this bag is,"

Cassidy stares at us, "Okay.. well, it's almost five. We should get going.

"Yep," Was all Marcus said while walking out.

"Cass- why do you Matthew and Charles have bags?" Emily asked as we walked side by side to the van.

"Got is some food, nuggets, burgers, and fries." I responded.

Back home, we all start eating the food from mcdonald's.

"If we're going to be staying here for as long as we are, shouldn't we get groceries?" Kayla asked,

I walked to the fridge, opening it, "Most likely. We all go tomorrow or what?" I said, "Yeah, as long as i get shotgun"Charles said.

"Yeah whatever," I said moving my hands in his face.

"Well, if we are going to the store tomorrow we should get to bed." Emily said, grabbing some of her clothes from her bag, "We can all take turns showering, I'll be in Cass's shower." Was all she said when she disappeared upstairs.

"Well, there's my moms bathroom, Layla's bathroom, and the guest bathroom, who's going in which?" I asked the group,

"I call dibs on your moms bathroom," Charles said running up the stairs with his bag in his hand, "Okay then, "I'll shower last, don't worry." I said.

Brushing my hair, i walked out of my moms bathroom to see everyone scattered on the bed, "Are seven of us seriously going to sleep in a king size bed?"

"Yes, i saved a spot for you right here." Matthew responded, patting almost nothing.

"Oh- look i'll sleep on my moms couch, i think it's a pull out.." I said while fixing the couch,

A bed has popped out from the couch, "It is! Okay goodnight guys." I said getting comfortable on the pullout bed.

'Goodnight!'
'Goodnight, love you guys!'
'Sleep dreams!'

Was all i heard before dozing off into darkness.
