Again I woke to the sound of Ms McLeary coming down the hallway, it was the same routine almost everyday and it was so boring, I so so wish I didn't have a life like this, but that's how it goes. "Get up!" She screamed at us, as came in the door, "Quickly!" And with that she strutted away and slammed the door behind her. "Morning Katy" I said as I saw Katy come back from the bathroom, "morning" she smiled, "I have to go do the trash outside but I'll see you later!" She said, "okay, bye!". I already new what my fist chore was on a Friday morning, Vacuum every room in the house, ugh it was literally the worst job in the world, but whatever. I got the Vacuum out of the closet and plugged it into the wall. First I vacuumed the hall way, then me and Katy's room, then the boys room and then the others girls room, as I was dragging the vacuum through to the bathroom Ms McLeary called me, "Gabriella, come down here" she said, why was she being so nice? I walked down the stairs with a confused look on my face, "come to my office" she said softly, "Now!" Her eyes seemed to be staring into my soul. I then followed her into the office where there sat two adults, a mother and father? "This is shay and Colette, they want to adopt you" Ms McLeary explained, "you'll be leaving in 30 minutes, go get your things packed while we do some paper work" she ordered. "Thank you!" I beamed at shay and Colette, they smiled as I ran out and upstairs to get ready. I had never thought about what i would actually pack because I never thought I would get adopted. Why me? Why not a younger one? But I'm not complaining. I found my old suitcase under the bed, I shoved my clothes in, the picture of my mum and dad and my notebook, that's about it then, I thought. I brushed my blonde hair and wiped my green eyes. Then I remembered...Katy. I couldn't bear to leave her here, but I guess I can't do anything. I checked the chore sheet to see she'd be changing the boys bed sheets, "Katy?" I said as I walked into the boys rooms, "im getting adopted!" I smiled, she turned around, "really?" She replied, shocked, "yeah!" I laughed, my smile faded, "but well I'm going away today, I will try to visit" I said, hugging Katy. "It's fine, we'll keep in touch" she spoke, a tear rolled down her cheek. "Don't cry" I laughed as I pulled her into another hug. "Well, I've got to go now" I explained, clutching my suitcase, "see ya" I whispered as I walked away, tears rolled down my face. I need to be strong, this will be good for me, I wiped the tears and walked down the stairstairs, "goodbye" Katy shouted from the top of the stairs, I looked up and waved before being beckoned into the office. "Hi shay, hi Colette" I smiled as I walked in, "hello honey" Colette answered in the sweetest voice, after I while of talking to my new mom and dad, we left, and as I did I stuck my tounge out at Ms McLeary, she glared at me before shutting the front. I have to admit I was usually quite shy around new people, but I was so comfortable around new people. "So I don't know if you had phones and computers here, did you?" Shay asked as we got into a van style car. "No not really we only got a turn on a computer when we have English lessons" I replied, "do you know what YouTube is?" He asked, "I think it's where you watch different peoples videos online" I said, vividly remembering something in my head about YouTube. "Well, us and our family have a career on their, making video, mainly videos of our family, doing everyday life, I hope you don't mind being filmed as such" my new mom explained as we drove, "oh yeah we have 5 children, your our 6th" my new dad said, "Gavin, Emmi, Avia, Brock and Daxton" he said, "and now you Gabby!" We stopped at a shop called Target where mom let me buy as much clothes as I wanted. Then we drove home talking about school, "we know that it would be hard for you to go to a normal school and so Colette has taken a course so that she can home school you!" Shay announced, "awesome! Thank you!" I beamed. We arrived at a huge house, in the countryside, it was beautiful, "wow" I said, "do you like it?" Shay asked, "yeah it's so big!" I laughed, "thank you guys for adopting me, I thought it would never happen" I said as I hugged my new parents. "Okay let's go and meet everyone else" Colette ussured me inside. I was brought to see, quite a few people waiting to meet me. Shay or dad got a camera out and started filming himself, I guess this so what they do for a living! And it's obvious they get a lot of money for it! First was a confident looking little girl, she came up to me "hi I'm Avia or princesstard, I'm so excited to have a big sister" she cried and she hugged me, "my pleasure Avia, you have a pretty name" I complemented her, "thank you gabby" she blushed and slipped off. Next a little boy came across, "what's your name" he said it in cutest voice, "I'm gabby" I said crouching so I was eye level to him, "what's your name?" "I'm Brock" he shouted as he hugged me then ran off. Next came a taller boy, quite big- "I'm gavin or sontard" he smiled, "hey, I'm gabby" I answered, "nice name" he said, "thanks" and he walked off. Now came a cute little girl, she looked shy, "hi, im Emmi or babytard" she giggled, "hey Emmi!" I laughed, "I'm gabby" suddenly she hugged me, "thanks for being my new big sister" I laughed, "no problem" then dad came across "so Lufus do you LIKE gabby?" Shay shouted shoving the camera in Emmi's face, "yes" she giggled. Next came a young looking lad, "I'm Logan, the kids call me uncle logie bear, but you don't have to" he laughed, "nice too meet you uncle logie bear" I laughed as he hugged me. Next came a fatish man and a nice looking lady, "I'm uncle casey" said the jolly man, "hello" I smiled, "I'm auntie Kayli" she smiled, I hugged both and finally met my grandma and grandad, they were all so sweet I loved it. "We'll show you room room" Avia said as she dragged my through to a lovely blue themed room. "This is for me?" I gasped, "yup, me, mom and Emmi decorated it" she beamed, "thank you!" I said as I hugged Avia and kissed her cheek. "Hey! Why don't we ask mom if we can have a sleepover in my new room?" I suggested, "yes!" Gasped Avia, "I'll go ask Emmi if she wants to aswell" I watched her run off, I closed my room and lay on the warm bed. Why is my life so good now!? I mean I'm not complaining but one minute its the worst, next it's the best! I started to but my new clothes in my wardrobe and unpack my bag from the care home. I came across to the picture of my real mom and dad, I tear dropped onto the frame, I wiped it away and put it on my bedside table and smiled at how beautiful my mom was and how loving my dad was. Then there was a knock on the door, "can I come In?" Moms gentle voice asked, "yeah" I answered. "Is this room alright for you?" She asked as she came and sat beside me on the bed. "Defiantly, You know, no words can describe how grateful I am for you to have adopted me, you have no Idea and I'm just so excited to be in this beautiful family And for the years to come, thank you thank you" I spoke, moms eyes wear teary, "I love you" my new mom whispered as she hugged me tightly, " I love you too" I smiled.
