Eye-opener

I sat there on the floor, beside Jhoshi's injured body, while he was trying hard to breathe. Suriya and I had zero words to speaking. It was then that we both realised two things. One, we gotta to explain who injured Jhoshi and why, two, It was only after a long struggle, that I  finally started to defend myself.

Adding few more minutes of huge silence to the room, Suriya walked towards me, and sat beside me leaning to the wall. I slowly moved towards him said, "Suriya I'm..."
"No. Just don't complete. I get it. You are disturbed right. Yeah I get,no need of any explanation. Nope. I don't need."
He just didn't let me complete. 

"What are you trying to explain me about, huh???
No, there isn't anything you have to explain me nor I have to hear. You lost your dad Naina, so that means you lost everything and become a psych!! Ohh yeah! You need to. And guess what you already became one!" He just stood up from the floor in aggression.

"But Suriya why r angry on me now!!" I cried.

"Everytime I tried to relax that you can't get any worse, you proved me wrong."

"Suriya, no Suriya, he was a rapist Suriya, he threatened me!"

"What was the need to stay quite than Naina! What was the problem to tell me then itself? I'm not angry that you did this. I'm angry that you did this now!!!"

"I..I.." I murmured out of fear standing up in front of him.

"No Naina, this isn't you. You have just become another girl who is very much different from the girl who was proud to be the daughter of her father! Who was just as strong as diamond! But now, look at herr!!!!!"

He held my hand and pulled me to the mirror near the table. "Look at you Naina. Just look at you!! Is this the reason why your dad left you! Just answer this... Please..!"he said as I was staring at myself in the mirror in a voice very much depressed and sad.

Though his words were a thunderclap to me, I kept wondering why he was talking as if he knew everything about why my dad is dead right now. He said," don't you wonder how I knew it. I knew it that day itself when Rohit  was talking to you. I overheard you guys.
Naina, look at me, Naina. "

He turned me from facing the mirror to him. "Naina, you want to what happened that day, listen to this."

I continued to look into his eyes while he spoke, like a baby listening to her mother.

" that day, I overheard Rohit and you in the hospital, how he threatened you, demotived you. I knew I was just not enough to fight him, so I immediately rushed to call my friends so that we could all get him and send him to the jail.

As he stepped out from the hospital, my friends and I caught him,hit him  brutally, and then, he told the truth about that match fixing and we got him arrested, then and there.

I was so happy to tell you this that day, I came running to you the next second the police put him in the van. But I was so shook seeing you in that washroom almost like a corpse covered in blood. Naina, your dad passed away for sure, but there isn't any mistake of you in that. Naina, you are the only person who could make him happy or sad. Choose how you wanna see him.

Happy or sad." Saying this, he left me free from his tight hold of my hands, leaving me to realise the mistakes I was doing.

He went back and sat on the bed while I was still there near the mirror, thinking about what to do.

"Naina, like the only person you have right now is me, the only person I have is only you too. Naina, I love you Naina. I love you. I just didn't perfect time to tell you this, but I feel I don't tell you this now, maybe I wouldn't ever get a chance again. Naina,. Please... Can u please be normal!!! Please...!!"

There was a huge silence in the room again, while Suriya sat on the bed sobbing for me, Jhoshi having no clue about anything and panting, and I, I was just lost. I wasn't thinking about anything, but I was just lost.

After an hour silence, Suriya finally got up from the bed and said he gonna get some food for me while I got fresh and moved a few steps from the bed. It was then, that the sleeping human inside me woke up. I fleeeted to him and hugged him from behind.

Yes I was a sign that I accepted his love and I wanted to change and make my dad happy. Suriya was so happy seeing my reaction, he just jumped out of happiness and lifted me in the air, and we both laughed aloud. I felt as if it was only then I realised how to laugh.

Suriya was the eye-opener for me finally. While we both laughed and he put me down, we heard someone speak in the room.

God! It was  'Jhoshi the rapist', about whom we totally forgot...

"Naina,  what do you think we gonna do with this guy??" Suriya asked with an innocent face.

"What ever he deserves", I replied with a wicked smile.

And Jhoshi also understood what a fate he gonna face that day.!!!
