What are we going to do?

Chapter 5

2 weeks later

Jo POV

We're now in Mexico and I still have a terrible headache. I wake up... headache, go to sleep headache! It's been like this for the past 3 days and to top it off I'm constantly feeling nauseous. The only upside to this is it's brought me and Hero closer as he's been constantly he checking up on me making sure I'm ok, it's really cute. Right now I'm just sat in my hotel room after a long day of interviews and a book signing. My head feels like it going to explode. I rub my temples when I get a know at my door. I open it and see a sympathetic looking hero, I give him a small smile and let him in.

"Hey, how's the head?" He asks as I crawl back onto bed and make my body like a ball.

"I feel like my brain is trying to escape from my skull." I say whilst I hold my head

He hands me a glass of water and turns out all the lights, then comes and sits next to me and puts Netflix in the tv.

Hero POV

I'm sat next to Jo who is currently curled up in a ball whilst we watch stand up comedy on Netflix, I wouldn't normally put this but she needs cheering up. For the past 3 days she's had a headache and says she feels nauseous.

I thought it would be awkward with Jo after our night in Rome but no, it's actually made us closer, which I'm glad about I'm not acting as if I can stand to be around her anymore because I'll gladly spend my evening in her room or her in mine whilst we just watch tv.

I look at Jo and see she's fallen asleep so I put her under the covers. Normally I would write note explaining I went to room as she fell asleep and to get me at any time if she needed anything. But I felt to bad leaving as she doesn't seem to be getting better, only saying that the headaches are becoming unbearable and the nausea is worsening. So I quickly take her keycard so I can get back in and run to my room to change into something more comfortable.

I get back less than 5 minutes later and slip into her room on her bed I drift off to sleep thinking of ways to make her see a doctor.

I wake up and notice it's still dark outside so I look and the time on my phone and see it's 2:36am I look to my other side and notice Jo isn't there so I go and look or her. I notice that the bathroom light is on and the door is open. I knock lightly and walk in only to see Jo being sick in the toilet. I rush over to her and hold her back away from her face and rub her back.

"You need to see a doctor Jo"  she sighs and shakes her head saying  if it continued then she would go because doesn't want to waste other people's time for a sickness bug. I know there's no use in trying to convince her otherwise so for now I'll listen to what she's saying. Once she's finished being sick she brushes her teeth and washes her face before I take her back to bed. I climb into bed with her as she snuggles her head into my chest and falls back to sleep once again. I'm glad that I decided to stay because I know she wouldn't have said anything.

Jo POV

I wake up to Hero walking through the door with 2 cups.

"Here, thought you might need it." He says handing me a coffee. I thank him and smile and he sits on the other side of the bed next to me.

I grab my phone off the bedside table and text Anna telling her that I've been sick and don't think I'll be able to go out exploring with everyone. Within minutes I hear my phone go off, it's Anna.

Anna📖✍️:oh no sweetie, it's all good. Hope you feel better soon xx

Jo💛:Thanks, talk to you later xx

"Who you texting?" Hero asks as I place my phone next to me .

"Anna, I was telling her I wasn't well and wouldn't be going out to day." He looks at me and smiles. I know he's not well and that I'm not going to push myself to go out with everyone. With that he takes his phone and quickly texts someone then placed his phone next to him.

"I told Anna I'm not going out and I'm going out and going to look after you ." He tells me and I instantly feel bad.

"No Hero don't do that. I don't want you missing out because of me" just then his phone pings.

"She agreed with me and said it's fine. So it's settled... I'm staying with you."

Throughout the day me and Hero watched tv, ordered food and laughed... a lot. When his friends FaceTimed him he introduced me to Felix, Morgan, Valand, Ollie, Jack and Ham, he said there names were. Throughout the call I couldn't stop laughing, seeing Hero so carefree and having so much fun over the phone was amazing.

We end the day off in my bed talking about our life and dreams with with the tv in for some background noise when we eventually fall to sleep.

Going to write some more later today and probably post it but I'm not sure yet
