SidNaaz- Forever and Always.

Chapter 24- We are each other's home.

It had been a week since Rohan and Shehnaaz had started their relationship. When one enters into a relationship, the initial days are beautiful, romantic and cute. In between those moments when you are talking to each other, you get to see the little things of your partner which make you fall in love with them and like them all the more. But that wasn't the case with Shehnaaz and Rohan. With each passing day, Shehnaaz regretted saying a yes to Rohan, and her doubt on how she had rushed through things was proving to be true.

Rohan had turned out to be a boy who never knew how to treat their girlfriend. You know there are these human beings, who treat other human beings as things, and until and unless they get them in their lives, they behave like puppies, pretending to be super cute and all of it, and when they actually get that person in their life, they don't know how to take care of them? Yes. Rohan was no different.

He had spent months drooling over Shehnaaz. He had sung songs in the sweetest of voice, for the girls of his dreams, but when finally he had her in his life, he didn't know how to keep her happy. Maybe because he was too insecure of Sidharth to actually realise that being in a relationship means trusting your partner and keeping them happy, and not satisfying your ego and without thinking how your partner would be feeling. Relationship means understanding each other, and giving each other space to breathe. It means wanting your partner to be happy, sometimes with you, sometimes without you. It doesn't mean trapping your partner with you at the cost of them sacrificing their happiness.

Shehnaaz and Rohan used to spend a lot of time together,because of their dance performance. Rohan was her partner, and she had to practice with him after the college. The practice would last for 2-3 hours, and then when she would reach home, she would sleep. After waking up, she would want to talk to Sidharth, but Rohan would call her and would make sure to keep her busy. Maybe because he missed her, and maybe because he didn't want her to talk to Sidharth. Sometimes, when she would not be able to answer her phone, he would come to their house, saying that he came to surprise her since he missed her, but Sidharth knew the reason behind it.

Shehnaaz's and Sidharth's friendship was getting affected with each passing day. Shehnaaz had been busy earlier too, and there used to be times when Sidharth and Shehnaaz would not talk to each other because of the things going on in their respective lives, but this time was different. One, Sidharth was in love with her. Two, Shehnaaz was busy with Rohan. Whenever Sidharth would look at Shehnaaz and Rohan, it would be dreadful for him. He would feel helpless.

Sidharth sometimes wished that he should have told her, that in between those fights and movie nights, he had fallen in love with her. Even if she would have told him that she didn't feel that way, he would have simply tried to move on and would've pretended that nothing of this sort happened. It would have been difficult, but easier that seeing her with Rohan everyday. He couldn't blame her, she didn't know anything about his feelings. Sidharth was constantly thinking that Shehnaaz was drifting apart, because of Rohan, but was she? Or was it him, drifting apart from her, because of his ownself?

Shehnaaz on the other hand had a lot of things going on in her life. The past seven days had exhausted her emotionally and physically too. She didn't even know who she was. The dance practices took a lot of energy and after that she had to talk to Rohan. It felt more of an obligation. She couldn't even tell Sidharth about her problems, because he seemed to be least bothered. The entire week he had not talked to her properly, they had not played any game, they had not seen any movie together. She cursed herself for not being able to have time for him. The entire week had had too much of Rohan. She thought that she couldn't talk to Sidharth because Rohan had to talk to her the entire time. She didn't realise that all of it was happening because Sidharth was the one who was keep himself at a distance.
