SidNaaz- Forever and Always.

Chapter 28- A battle in which we are together.

"Tere Birthday pe nahi honga mai."

"Oho Sidharth. Koi chakkar nahi hai. Yeh bhi zaroori hai na. Kya Birthday. Badde hogye hain hum."

"Haa, tabhi tune last year apne birthday pe poora unicorn themed decoration karaya tha, aur unicorn wala cake kaata tha.", he said sarcastically, changing the gear.

"Chup karr. Kutta."

Shehnaaz turned 20 that day. But she was the perfect example of how she is just a number. She was a kid at heart. After seeing the ugliness of human beings, her heart told her to believe in unicorns. Probably, those creatures would be better than the filthy human beings. She loved them, to no end. They were a symbol of positivity.

Sidharth being her best friend had planned a unicorn themed party for her, because she had asked for it. Every year, 2 weeks prior to her birthday she would tell Sidharth everything that she wanted on her birthday, Sidharth would plan her party according to that, and Shehnaaz would act as if all of it was a surprise.

Their house was decorated with unicorn themed balloons. Everyone was supposed to wear a unicorn hairband on their head. For drinks they had mixed Cranberry and Blue Lagoon, so that they could get a purple coloured drink. Sidharth thanked god that Shehnaaz didn't tell him to arrange for purple coloured food. Her birthday cake was a big cake with a pretty unicorn horn on it. It was baby pink in colour.

Shehnaaz wore a purple-pink coloured unicorn shaped jump suit for the party. She looked like an adorable unicorn herself, and she enjoyed the party to every bit of it. She also received 20 separate unicorn themed gifts separately from Sidharth, which included a unicorn plush toy too.

Later that night, she sat and sobbed infront of Sidharth, for two reasons. One, she was very happy after all that Sidharth had done. She was overwhelmed with all the things he had done for her. And two, her family didn't wish her.

Ever since Shehnaaz moved out, her family would occasionally call her, but they would never call her on special occasions. And that was one of the very important reasons as to why Sidharth would do anything in the world to make her happy during the special days. Even though he found it stupid, to search for 20 unicorn gifts, he did it, for her.

"Sorry Shehnaaz. Itte years mei first time hoga na yeh."

"Haa. Par hum video chat kr lenge. Tu kya galti ki baat soch rha hai. Iss sab mei kyu dimaag lagga rha. Dekh college bhi aagya."

"Gadhi. College nahi aaya. Hum log college aaye."

"Arey ek hee hota hai. Chal."

She got down the car, while Sidharth drove the car to the parking lot. She looked around to see if Asim had arrived or not, and that's when she saw a familiar face, that face was of Rohan.

Rohan saw her getting down from Sidharth's car. He started to walk up to Shehnaaz. His face had a warm smile.

"Hii Sonniyo. Kesi hai?"

Shehnaaz had not expected that. Guilt flowed in her. She had shouted at him yesterday, and had blocked him. She was too naive to see that it was Rohan who was supposed to message her, and keep a check on her. She was too good herself to see the bad in Rohan, of how he was in insecure guy, who did not deserve her.

But was it really her fault? You don't get angry from people, who don't fulfil your expectations when you don't expect anything from them in the first place. Maybe, she didn't expect anything from Rohan as a boyfriend, thus it didn't really matter to her if he didn't keep a check on her.
