Chapter 17- Why do you even wear clothes?

"Nahi."

Sidharth heard Rohan. He couldn't let Shehnaaz go with him today. Today was their day. They couldn't celebrate a day before because she went out with Rohan. But today, he had this urge to be with her. He wasn't used to be without Shehnaaz 2 evenings in a row.

The word slipped out of Sidharth's mouth and he wished if he could take it back. But it was already done.
Shehnaaz and Rohan looked at Sidharth in amusement. Shehnaaz was anyway going to refuse Rohan because she knew she had to go with Sidharth today, but little did she expect Sidharth to say a word.

While Sidharth was struggling to answer why he had said the word, his phone rang. He thanked the angels in the heaven for it and went out of the room to answer the call. But before he left he heard Shehnaaz and a smile automatically came upon his face.

"Haa. Aaj toh mujhe and Sidharth ko jaana hai kahi."

Rohan heard her. He wondered if he could use a magic brush and just erase Sidharth from her life, but he knew he couldn't. He smiled at her politely and said,

"Kal chall lenge fir."

And saying so he left. Shehnaaz walked up to Sidharth and asked him.

"Tujhe kya ho gaya?"

"Matlab?"

"Tu manna kyu kr rha tha?"

"Kyunki kal lofri kr aayi tu. Thora bhaw toh kha."

"Hawww. Mujhe lagga issliye manna kiya kyunki humko jana hai kahi."

"Pagal hai. Ghar pe movie dekhenge. Kahi bahar nahi jana hai. Tujhe agar jaana hai, toh chali jaa. Call kr le Rohan ko."

He wanted her to not do so, not understanding why. He looked at her with nervousness waiting for her next action.

"Pagal hai. Pagal hai tu? Rohan aur Dates jo bhi ho, lekin tu pehle hai. Bahar nahi jaana toh ghar pe theek hai. Mujhe vese bhi ab aadat hogyi hai ghar pe movie dekhne ki. Kal jo bahar gayi hu, it was more of a task for me. Chall jaa. Ready ho. Mai bhi jaati hu. Fir college jaana hai."

Both of them got ready and left for the college. They attended their respective lectures, and met everyone. Rohan was all the time with Shehnaaz, and Shehnaaz seemed to be enjoying his company. She was growing fonder of the man, and Sidharth was somehow becoming uneasy.
As soon as the college got over, Rohan walked up to Shehnaaz.

"Shehnaaz. Aaj toh tu nahi chal payegi. Lekin kal ka promise kr. Mujhe ek surprise dena hai."

Shehnaaz saw the gleam in his eyes. She very well knew what the surprise meant. It was going to be a proper confession from Rohan's end. She was excited for the journey she was to begin, not knowing what it would bring along. But immediately her thoughts came to Sidharth. She couldn't promise something without talking with him. And tomorrow was supposed to be a day with Sidharth and Rohan, the three of them were supposed to hang out together so that Sidharth starts to like Rohan. She couldn't just promise anything like this.

"Sidharth se baat kr ke bata dungi."

Rohan's face clearly fell. The excitement on his face was gone. He wondered why it had to be about him always. Shehnaaz saw it, but she didn't know what to do. Sidharth came as a saviour and dragged her away. He had not heard the conversation but he had seen her talking to Rohan. It was already bothering him that she had been with him the entire day, and he just wanted to take her away from his presence as soon as possible.
