Runhalt woke up early before the sunrise. Today he would continue his journey to Sigmod and find Gilbert at the local inn. He sat up and stretched tiredly. Standing up out of bed Runhalt gathered his belongings and then went downstairs to bathe at the well. He put on some clean clothes and grabbed a bite at the bar. Saying his farewells to Gorgo and Fergus he made his way to the town chief's house to say farewell. Igor smiled and said "I'm sure you will come visit us sometime. Safe travels kid." Runhalt smiled and went on his way. As the sun reached mid-day Runhalt unexpectedly ran into a group of bandits trying to rob a wagon. "Imprisonment Bind!" He yelled casting his spell. The bandits yell in suprise as sturdy green vines push out of the ground and wrap completely around them. The bandits cursed profanities into the air as they struggle futility in the vines. Runhalt approached them and the leading knight guarding the wagon stepped forward and introduced himself. "I must thank you good citizen, you have saved my comrades and bosses life. My name is Captain Rossenhye, you can call me Ross." He said while shaking Runhalt's hand. Runhalt looked up at his tall figure and smiled. "Not at all Ross, my name is Silvon Runhalt." He said happily. Ross looked at him with a contemplating look and said "an elven name? Huh, that's interesting." Runhalt tilted his head while smiling confused about what he said. Ross let go and stopped giving him a handshake before smiling and turning towards the bandits. Ross dragged the bandits into the woods and screams echoed throughout the forest. Runhalt stared at the spot where he dragged them slightly worried about what happened. The wagon opened and a young man stepped out. He had blond hair and blue eyes. Runhalt squinted his eyes because the boys hair blinded him slightly. The boy also squinted because of Runhalt's pure white hair. As he was thinking of all the types of hair he has seen Ross finished his task and walked back out of the forest. Seeing his boss and Runhalt squinting at each other he was surprised. Ross approached and knelt down before the boy and said "your highness, forgive this knight for leaving you alone." The boy looked at Ross with a bored and irritated expression. "How many times do I have to tell you to not call me that?" He says. Runhalt watched the interaction with curiosity. The boy noticed his gaze and then said "What is your name peasant?" Runhalt coughed embarrassed then said "my name is Silvon Runhalt, what is yours?" The prince looked at him suprised for a moment. He smiled and said "my name is Alexander Delvonce, first prince of the Delvonce Kingdom to the south." They chatted for a while before Ross urged them to depart for the city of Sigmod. Prince Alexander offered Runhalt a ride in his carriage and he gladly accepted it. They made their way to the city and Runhalt's eyes glowed with excitement making Alexander smile as he watched him stare out the window with amusement. The city was huge and had many people coming and going about the streets on their daily runs. Merchants were selling their goods and several people were standing around and browsing merchandise. Runhalt smiled when he saw the castle gates. He turned towards Alexander and said " I need to go to the inn in the town center to deliver a package." Alexander told them to stop and Runhalt jumped out and waved goodbye as he went on his way. Alexander watched his figure getting smaller and disappearing into the crowd. "He's interesting..." He said out loud to himself. Ross was shocked when he looked at the princes face. He quickly looked away as the carriage started moving again and approached the gate of the castle.

Runhalt backtracked his way to the inn and walked inside. The inn was well decorated and many people were drinking beer at the bar. Runhalt Walked up to the woman at the bar and ask "Do you know where I can find Gilbert? I have a package for him." The woman paused in suprise then said "yes, he's upstairs in the office on the right." Runhalt thanked her and ascended the stairs. Walking down the wooden hallway he made a right and came face to face with a oak door with a plaque saying 'OFFICE'. Knocking three times he heard some slow shuffling noises and a "come in." He opened the door and saw an old man with a huge grey beard and alot of muscles. The man sized up Runhalt and said "what do ya need brat?" He squinted his eyes sharply at him. Runhalt took out the package from his pouch and handed it to Gilbert. "This is from Ophorus, he told me to deliver it to you." He said politely. The old man smiled with his toothless gums and laughed happily. "Whoowee- ain't seen him in forever! How's the old fox doing?" He said smiling brightly while placing the box on the desk and opening it's wrap. The box contained a bottle of rose wine and a envelope. Gilbert happily peered at the wine and then looked at the unopened envelope. He set aside the wine and then grabbed the envelope. With a sigh he sat down in the chair and opened it. Runhalt watched as the old man's face went from happy to a dark and grim expression. Gilbert looked up and asked "Ophorus sent you?" Runhalt nodded politely. His thoughts brewing around his mind about Gilbert's strange dark expression. Gilbert sighed and handed him the letter. Runhalt accepted the letter and read it. "Dear Gilbert, it has come to my attention that a storm is brewing in the clan. Please take care of Runhalt for he is like the son I never got to have. After this has reached you I am sure to be dead. Goodbye old friend. Sincerely- Silvon Ophorus"
Runhalt stared shocked at the letter for a while before he heard a cough. He looked up at Gilbert with tears threatening to fall from his eyes. Gilbert winced and struggled to find words to comfort the kid. He sighed tiredly and stood up. He patted his back comfortingly in silence unsure of what to say. He's used to dealing with strong men and cowards, not sobbing children. That day Runhalt began living with Gilbert and working at the inn. Months pass and the time of the city festival approached. Yufel festival is a widely known festival that Sigmod celebrates. It's a time where young people get together and attend a ball hosted by the king himself. Courtship and romance blossoms on this day for many young men and women. In the castle a young boy sat in his lessons. He worked hard to improve himself so he could attend the ball and hopefully meet the boy who caught his interest again. His eyes momentarily drifted to the window and the bright light outside when a sharp sound of the teacher clearing her throat echoed in the room. "Your highness is doing excellent so far, is there anything interesting you would like to talk about? Perhaps you will tell me what made you so interested in staring out of the window and forgetting you are in the middle of lessons?" The royal tutor Agatha said wrinkling her aging face into a slight scowl. Agatha has been teaching the royals for several decades and soon she will have to retire. Alexander sighed. He knew Agatha was just reminding him of his goal. He smiled and apologized abruptly. He refocused on his lessons to get them done since tonight is the Yufel festival ball. He glanced one last time at the window before refocusing on his studies. Meanwhile on a roof overlooking a small inn, a silver haired boy with sky blue eyes stared into a window with obsessive fascination. "Soon, we will meet again. You will be mine." The boy said.•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°
