Prologue

~Flashback Memory~

Why did it have to come to this?

Why did I join forces with him?

I sighed a little before wincing in pain.

If only I could switch sides, maybe my life wouldn't be so horrible. Especially when that fat bastard, Dr.Eggman, took me in.

All because he felt so "sorry" for me.

At first, I thought he wanted me to join him, so he could make my life better.

But, boy, was I wrong.

I was enraged when I found out that he only used me as a tool. A weapon. A slave. Just because of the Phantom Ruby that was fused within my chest.

For most of my life, it has been a living hell.

At one point, I had actually tried to kill Dr.Eggman with an axe, before he caught me in the act of trying to kill him and had me sent off to be tortured as a punishment.

Ever since then, I was stuck here and forced to do what I told to do.

Those two annoying robots, Orbot and Cubot, didn't even make things better for me.

They only made it worse and harder for me to concentrate.

And just when things got worse, I was betrayed.

After that one fateful day, that was when I was broken free from the chains of hell and received freedom in my grasp...
