It was around springtime when that fateful day happened.

As always, I was given orders.

But, this one was completely different this time.

Eggman had given me the order to head over to Green Hill, look for Sonic the Hedgehog, capture him, and bring him to the base.

And since he figured that I've never met Sonic or don't even know what he looks like, Eggman showed me a few videos from his security cameras of what he looks like and how fast this "Sonic" can go.

Needless to say, that blue hedgehog sure does have such incredible and very impressive speed. The name even fits him perfectly...All because of his unlimited lack of speed.

Then Eggman gave me the run down about his history with Sonic by giving me a small summary of it.

After hearing about that, I smirked a bit, amused over the fact that Sonic can actually keep up with Eggman and beat him in a matter of seconds, foiling the doctor's evil plans every single time and destroying a whole shitload of Eggman's robots on top of that.

"So, what is the reason to catch that speedy blue hedgehog, doctor?" I asked after Eggman was done explaining.

"To get my "plan" into action, of course! Now, get going and go capture Sonic before we miss the opportunity to catch him!" Eggman says before pointing at the exit.

I snorted and rolled my eyes.

"Whatever you say, Doctor..." I replied before heading out and starting to fly, beginning my search for Green Hill and that blue hedgehog, Sonic.

-Minutes Later-

For quite a while, I was finding nothing until I spotted a ton of lush greenery up ahead. And lots of it too.

The sight of it was definitely breathtaking.

"So, this is Green Hill, huh?" I asked myself once I made a safe touchdown by landing softly before looking around. "If it is, this place sure is beautiful. I can understand why Sonic would be here..."

Then I started walking around while keeping myself hidden in the shadows, despite the fact I didn't wanna be seen or approached by anyone.

Especially, when I'm looking for Sonic.

As I was searching, I suddenly saw something zip past me with such high speed, that I only saw nothing but a blue blur.

"That must be Sonic..." I thought to myself before I followed after the blue blur, still hidden.

Then, after a few minutes, I saw him come to a complete stop as I hid behind one of the trees.

As I stood there and watched, Sonic stretched his arms and legs out before taking off, creating a really loud sonic boom, as he began moving faster than the speed of sound.

For a few minutes, I waited as I was starting to feel bored out of my skull.

So, just to pass the time, I picked a sunflower and started taking a petal off one by one as I was saying to myself, "Freedom" or "Slavery".

Surely, you get what I mean.

In the end, when I was down to the last sunflower petal, I got freedom.

I smiled a bit to myself before taking the petal off.

Freedom, huh?

That's the only thing I had wanted and wished for the most, ever since I was stuck in Eggman's clutches until the day I die.

I sighed before looking up at the sky, my gaze softening, while I felt a tear appearing and running down to the left side of my face.

"I wish I had freedom for the rest of my life...Permanently..." I say as I sniffed a bit, wiping the tear from my eye.

Then I noticed Sonic returning before I stood up.

"Looks like it's time for my plan to go into action..." I thought to myself.
