Chapter 24

2 years later

"Holy crap! Holy crap! Holy crap harumin!" Yuzu exclaimed as she began freaking out pacing around the room in harumin and matsuri's shared house. "Yuzuchi stop freaking out and please just tell me what's wrong". Harumin said as she got up from her bed and held the blonde's shoulders to stop her from moving looking her in her emerald eyes. "R-remember what I said last time we hung out with matsuri?" Yuzu asked and harumin nodded. "Yes I do remember that yuzuchi but I don't understand why you are freaking out unless...oh...yuzuchi you didn't...did you? You promised you'd tell me if you did." Harumin asked and yuzu sighed as she plopped back on the bed with harumin sitting next to her.

"No I haven't told her yet but..." yuzu paused and groaned in annoyance. "Yuzuchi?" Harumin asked as she waited for the blonde to reply. "No I haven't asked her yet but I did buy us matching rings". Yuzu said as she got into her bag near Harumi's door opening the bag pulling out a small box with 2 rings matching where the gem stone was lavender presenting Mei's eyes while the rest was emerald matching Yuzu's eyes. "Woah that's... that looks hella expensive huh?" Harumin said as she held one carefully admiring it. "I don't care about the price of it harumin, I'm scared about what Mei's answer will be, yeah I get she's over Udugawa and all but I can't help but think...I'm not enough for her...like what would happen if she said no?" yuzu asked as she exhaled slowly and harumin noticed it as she gave yuzu back her ring and thought of how she would make the blonde change her mind. "Yuzu what is your expectations of being enough bf or someone?" Harumin asked as she held her hazel eyes on emerald ones. "Huh? Well I mean that is a weird question but..." yuzu started thinking and harumin sighed. "What I mean is what did you think love was all about... before you started dating Mei?" Harumin asked and yuzu chuckled softly. "Well back then... I thought it was like finding the hottest guy and make him fall in love with you and live a happy live, like in those romance movies but that was then...harumin why are you asking me this?" Yuzu asked and harumin gave her best friend a small genuine smile nothing like her goofy grins. "Well that all changed once the two of you started dating right? Because that's not love, love is taking risks for someone, giving her your life to you not because you adore her but because you trust her enough to be willing to sacrifice anything for her and now is one of those times yuzuchi". Harumin said sounding like a therapist making the blonde completely baffled.

"Harumin I wanted advice not a therapist". Yuzu said jokingly as she and harumin giggled softly before harumin continued. "This right now is a sacrifice because you are about to give your life to the one you love, you get me? Cause you have nothing to worry about besides I got your back always". Harumin said as the two shared a bright smile before turning it into laughter. "Thx harumin I can always count on you". Yuzu said now feeling relieved. "Anytime yuzuchi, by the way, do you think nene will finally stop shipping us once all of this is over?" Harumin asked. "I have no idea but she really has to stop shipping the wrong ship it's getting kinda frustrating now". Yuzu said as she saw the time on her phone. "Ahh Jeez, I have to go now harumin I'm gonna have to go get ingredients for dinner, wait where is matsuri?" Yuzu asked and the brunette let out a sigh of exhaustion. "She is here she is just too preoccupied with her stupid games". Harumin said as she said her got out of the room with yuzu going the living room to be met up with matsuri. "See". Harumin said. "Hehe well anyways bye matsuri". Yuzu said and the girl just said a quick bye and yuzu chuckled getting out of the door.

Yuzu quickly made her way to the stores to get the ingredients and made her way to Mei's big ass mansion. "I'm back" yuzu said loud enough for Mei to hear her. She saw Mei quickly get up from her seat and approached yuzu. "Welcome home yuzu, have you got the ingredients for dinner?" Mei asked and yuzu nodded. "Yeah, I got them...if you aren't doing anything tonight, I know this is a weird request but do you want to head to the beach to watch the sea?" Yuzu asks unsure of what Mei's reaction will be. Mei just looked at yuzu for a moment with a blank face. "I don't have any plans today so yeah it sounds relaxing so sure as long as it's with you yuzu". Mei said nonchalantly and yuzu was happily having a party in her head but she hid it well. "Ok then we will have dinner first then we can go swimming or something or just watch over if you want". Yuzu said and Mei nodded. "Oh if you're swimming then I will definitely watch". Mei said as she smirked looking at Yuzu's blushing face. "H-heh y-yeah sure but we are both definitely watching after this". Yuzu stuttered and quickly put her bag away and washed up before making dinner with Mei then the both made their way to the car, yuzu driving them both to the beach knowing that no one is going to go there at this hour.

Time skip
'Why does she want me to go there at this time even?' Mei questioned herself in her head looking at yuzu who took off her shoes sighing calmly loving the feeling of sand on her feet. Mei also took her shoes off with questions in her head but didn't decide to ask yuzu. Yuzu tried to play it cool but inside her head she was freaking out. 'Yuzu you idiot! Out of all places here? Will she even accept or...'
"Yuzu are you going in the water?" Mei asks making Yuzu's thoughts stop  as Mei was taking her clothes off leaving her in her underwear. "Umm yeah of course". Yuzu said kind of unsure. Mei knew that yuzu was somehow insecure of her body because of the scars she has but yuzu wasn't willing to let them ruin her plan into trying to propose to Mei. Yuzu already texted harumin and matsuri about proposing to her on the beach which harumin found romantic while matsuri was teasing yuzu. "Yuzu you know you really shouldn't worry about those scars, I will always love you no matter what". Mei said lovingly to yuzu placing her hand on Yuzu's cheek which had a scar but it was almost faded kissing her cheek. "Y-yeah I know that Mei you don't have to worry". Yuzu said as she started taking her clothes off as well showing her rock hard abs that never failed to make Mei blush that had a few scars. "See yuzu, you're beautiful". Mei said yuzu making yuzu embarrassed. "How ironic coming from a certain person that's beautiful herself". Yuzu giggled and Mei noticed how Yuzu's feelings change quick which made Mei more curious but decided to ask her later. "Well you just going to stand their gawking me all night or go swimming?" Yuzu asks looking giddy and Mei then noticed that she was staring at Yuzu which made Mei slightly blush putting a strand of hair behind her ear. "S-swimming please". Mei says shyly. "Mei you really are adorable you know". Yuzu says with a smile and Mei just blushed even more. "Your just lucky your cute". Mei said sternly.

"Wow I am soaked, luckily I bring towels". Yuzu said as she got out of the water drying herself and put her clothes on while Mei got out a while ago and was pretending to read her book so she could ogle yuzu swimming. "Yes I'm quite surprised you didn't forgot this time". Mei said as she smiled a bit. "Hey that was only once". Yuzu said as she got a bit annoyed and knew that Mei was going to correct her. "Well I mean if you think of the number 3 as one then what did they teach you in college?" Mei asked sarcastically teasing yuzu. "Alright, alright I get it but you should know I am forgetful about a lot of things". Yuzu admitted while the small  smile never left Mei's face and it only grew more as she saw yuzu slowly kneel down on one knee. "But this is something that I know I won't forgot". Yuzu said as she reached her hand on her pocket revealing a small black box.  Mei was so happy, she waited for yuzu for so long and now that this was happening she didn't know what to think now that her dreams is finally becoming a reality, she thought that she might pass out from the excitement.

"Y-yuzu..." Mei mumbled as yuzu took the rings out and took Mei's hand and yuzu suddenly became a charming knight well that's what Mei thought as yuzu suddenly shot her charming smile at Mei looking up on her. "Mei... so much has happened between us two and that is our highs and lows and no matter what happened to the two of us we never gave up, I want to move on to the next level...with you as the love of my life so Mei Aihara... will you m-"
"Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Oh Yes yuzu! Yes I do want to marry you!". Mei replies numerous of times very loud as she tackled yuzu down on the sand and planted her face with kisses making yuzu chuckle. "I didn't even ask you the question yet". Yuzu laughed happily with Mei as the two shared a passionate kiss that lasted seconds before Mei let go with a trail of saliva connecting their lips. "I think I would have guessed anyway". Mei answered as Mei got off yuzu while yuzu stood up. Mei softly grabbed Yuzu's face putting her forehead on Yuzu's while yuzu done the same exhaling in relief. "Mei I have to put the ring on you". Yuzu said as she let go and gently grabbed Mei's hand as if it was the most delicate thing ever as she remembered Mei crying last time yuzu gave her and Mei their first ring.

Yuzu smiled remembering this as she slowly slid the ring through Mei's ring finger and gasped as she saw tears coming out from the lavender eyes girl. "M-Mei I-"
"Yuzu...I am crying out of happiness, nothing else I waited so long for you to ask me this". Mei said letting her tears flow freely from her cheeks and smiled when she saw yuzu smile also with a tear rolling down the blonde's cheek. "Well I'm happy the two of us wanted the same thing". Yuzu smiled as Mei also held Yuzu's hand putting the ring on her ring finger also. "Will we cherish this moment for a long time?" Yuzu asked and Mei giggled holding the blonde's hands kissing them softly. "Of course we will yuzu I love you and only you". Mei said lovingly at yuzu. "I-I love you to Mei". Yuzu said as she wrapped her arms around Mei and Mei slowly wrapped her arms around the taller girl also. "So...when are we having kids yuzu?"
"Eh?!"
