Prologue (PT1)

I finally found it. So that's where he's hiding, huh?

I almost forget I was on the phone for a second. "Otori? You there?"

"Huh?" That was my only response. "Yup, I'm still on the line. I'm almost there now."

"Where's Rei? Is she with you?"

I let out a long sigh. "Yeah. She's here with me. Just... in a bad mood. It's kinda expected from her-"

"I believe he's on that island. Are you going to arrest him?"

"Huh? Of course I'm going to! We've been searching for him for years! I don't want to let all that go to waste.." I took a deep breathe in. I didn't ever think I'd be this close to catching up with that dirty criminal again.. but this is the time. I know what he's planning, and I won't let it happen. I was still worried. This was huge and.. potentially dangerous. I decided to spark up the conversation. "You sure it's gonna be.. OK over there?"

"Of course. You'll be fine. Contact me if you find anything suspicious, okay?"

"Okay then.." I was still worried, but I wasn't going to say that or let that show. "It's time to end this once and for all."

*Click*

And just like that, the call was over. I nervously stared at the island ahead. What the hell could he be doing there..?

I haven't introduced myself. I'm Teruya Otori, the Ultimate Merchant--- or the former Ultimate Merchant. I'm in a group looking for a suspicious individual. Apparently he's on this island..

I have to stop his plans..
