Prologue (PT2)

"Don't be alarmed! We are not here to hurt you! We're here to protect you!"

Everyone looked at me and Rei with wide eyes.

"HUH!?"

"Mikado, are you okay?"

"You just got shot in the head, you need help-!"

Words of confusion and concern swarmed around me. What the hell were we gonna do..? Did everyone really think this Mikado dude was a good person?

"No matter what he says, that guy is not your ally." Rei's serious and slightly annoyed tone broke the panic between the students trapped on the island.

A killing game. I should have known.

"Hey! You guys! Stay away from that guy, he's dangerous-- and DEFINITELY not your ally!" I yelled that towards the students, trying to make them believe me. That guy we shot-- Mikado Sannoji-- is the criminal we're looking for.

"Huh? You mean.. Mikado?" The pink haired girl, who's name was Yoruko, stared at me, surprised, before shooting words back at me. "He just protected us from you, so YOU have some explaining to do." 

An orange haired kid was standing in between Yoruko and the tall silver-haired girl. "What's happening.. Who are you people..?" He said that in shock and anxiety. He was clearly worried.

Rei went silent, noticing who the kid was. "Yuki..? So we meet again.. How the hell did you get in this mess-- And how are you--"

"Hey, if you guys are gonna point the finger at me, you're wrong."

"Huh?"

Mikado's voice broke the silence. "I said that if you're gonna say i'm some sort of 'criminal mastermind behind this killing game,' you're wrong. I'm actually your ally, for reals!"

"You're trying to trick us. Fess up; you're the mastermind." Rei pulled out her gun and pointed it at him. I followed her lead. 

Mikado backed up from us. "I didn't expect any of you to trust me, but believe me when I say this-- I'M NOT THE MASTERMIND!!" He yelled that in a playful voice, seeming even more suspicious. He calmed down and put on a serious yet malicious face. "Your little orange friend over there? What was it, Yuki? HEEEEEEEEE'S THE TRUE MASTERMIND!!"

I stared at Mikado, obviously pissed off. Everyone stared at Mikado, Rei, and I in shock. What was he trying to do..? And why was he trying to blame this all on Yuki?
