Giovanna groaned, pulling the blanket over her head, trying to keep the sunlight out.

  "I see-a the little ragazza is-a finally awake-a."

She bolted upright and turned sideways to see the Italian sitting in a chair, looking at her with a small smirk on his face while fiddling with one of his knives. How long has he been watching me sleep? She wondered. Giovanna narrowed her eyes at Luciano as he walked toward her, knife still in his hand.

"If I-a unchain- a you, are you going to-a runaway-a?" Luciano asked.

Giovanna shook her head, hoping that was the answer he wanted to hear. "Good girl-a." He smiled, patting her head gently as he grabbed out a key and unlocked the chain that was attached to her leg. He walked to the door beckoning for her to follow him. She followed and was led to the kitchen. What was he going to do to her? she thought.

"You-a want pancakes?" Luciano asked the girl. She raised an eyebrow at him, is he seriously bribing me with food? She thought, but shrugged her shoulders anyway. Even if he offered her food, she still wouldn't talk. While he was distracted bringing out the ingredients for the pancakes, she was trying to figure out how to get out of there and away from him. She grinned as she saw Luciano put a frying pan onto the lit stove. When he went back to mixing the pancake mix, she quietly grabbed the frying pan. If she was going to do this, she needed to do this fast or else it would never work.

Luciano turned to the stove and cocked his head to the side, as he saw the frying pan he put there a minute ago wasn't there anymore. He screamed as he felt the burning metal hit the side of his face. He fell unconscious onto the hard tiled floor with a thud.

That's going to hurt when he wakes up, Giovanna thought to herself as she quickly grabbed the necklace out of Luciano's pocket, turned the stove off and grabbed an apple from the fruit basket before running outside into the streets of Italy. She had no time to waste. There was no telling when he would wake up and she didn't want to be anywhere near him when that happens.

An hour had passed when Luciano came to. His head pounded and the left side of his face hurt. What happened? he thought to himself, then he looked to the side to find a frying pan laying on the kitchen floor. He realised the girl must have hit him with the frying pan. He felt his pocket to find the necklace wasn't there anymore and the girl was nowhere in sight. He slowly got up and headed to the bathroom to look in the mirror. There Was a huge burn mark on the left side of his face. He slowly reached out to touch the burn only to wince in pain.

So this is the thanks he gets for trying to do something nice for a change. He thought it would be a good idea to make the child some breakfast, but what does he get in return. He gets hit in the face with a frying pan and gets robbed. Luciano was actually considering showing the girl some mercy, but now he is rethinking that decision.

"Quel piccolo monello pagherà per questo." He said, grinding his teeth as he stormed outside to go retrieve what was rightfully his and nobody was going to stop him. No one stole from Luciano Vargas and got away with it, not if he had anything to say about it.
