I sat alone on the train on the ride to Hogwarts, Lyra my owl continually brought me letters from Hermione who was desperate to know what was going on with me, but I refused to answer.
I'd spent countless hours working with Snape and Dumbledore to prepare for this years events. Our new Defense against the Dark Arts teacher was Alastor Moody, though something seemed off about him sense I had met him before leaving last year.
My train door suddenly opened and in walked Hermione and I smacked my head wishing I'd have found a different way to Hogwarts. "Ember there you are! You haven't been answering my letters! What's going on with you?"
The number one rule of becoming a double agent was don't tell and here was my very own cousin pestering me for a truth I couldn't give. So what should I tell her? Then I knew just what to tell her something Hermione would never question and I slammed my book shut and looked her in the eye.
"You want to know what's going on with me?"
"Yes!"
"Well fine, here's what's going on! I started my first period and it's driving me nuts now will you please leave me alone."
She blushed a little and snickered, "Oh hehe sorry I'll leave you be." She turned and walked away and rolled my eyes, and I thought she was supposed to be smarter then that.
I assumed my train ride would not be interrupted again and I was reading over some things for 4th year even though I probably already knew it all when again my quietness was interrupted by someone I'd least expect.
"What do you want?"
"I need your help."
Draco Malfoy closed the train door and put a locking charm on it and sat across from me and we both stared at each other.
"Why would you want my help?"
"It's about my father."
I raise an eyebrow and he remains nervous but emotionless, "What about him?"
"He wants to meet you."

"Where were you when the attack was going on?"
"I don't do quidditch I didn't go." I say simply as Dumbledore counties to question why I didn't go and watch the biggest world match of the year.
He sighs, "Fine, make sure to let me know anything you find and anything you might know."
I remember Draco on the train his father wanted to meet me and I assumed it was for reasons beyond what I could think about now, "Lucius Malfoy wants to meet me."
Snape who had been silent up till now interjects, "Absolutely not."
"Calm yourself Severus, we will see what happens when that time comes." Dumbledore says in a calming voice.
I slip out about this time and leave it to them to sort out as I head down to the dining hall. Only moments later do they bring the first years in sort them then Dumbledore goes on to tell us about The Goblet of Fire.
He introduces the students from Durmstrang and Beauxbatons and continues going on about how you can only be 17 and that I'm glad for I didn't want to be in that thing anyway I had way to much to do as it was.
***
That night students put there names in and I watched Cedric Digory put his name in and he walked over to me as I sat watching making sure no one did anything dumb.
"Hey Ember?"
"Hmm?" I say I was tired and I still had a lot to do even though it was late, though Cedric had been my friend sense my first year and well he was the coolest guy Hufflepuff.
