The Girl in the Rain

Now I’m heading home and the rain did not stop then I see a girl walking (like WTF? Is this girl crazy?) I stop next to her and call her attention. She looks at me and she’s Alli.

“Alli!! Get in the car” I said to her. “I’m good, I don’t need your help” she answers and she continuous walking. I run up to her “Stop being stubborn and get yourself in that car because, if you don’t know this place gets flooded easily and by the looks of it it’s turning titanic here” I said to her with authority “Really? Titanic?. So what now your Jack” she complains. “Can we continue this chat in the car?” I ask. “Fine” Alli says.

I open the door for the passenger seat (I’m a gentleman) now were both soaking wet again and it seems she was crying.

“Hey! Are you okay?” I ask without looking at her. “Certainly why wouldn’t I” she replies with a tone. A tone that you use when you’re lying

You can hear the rain drops hit the windshield and also hear Alli’s jaw chatter. She’s freezing cold, I can tell by just listening. I haven’t started the engine of the car. I’m here struggling to find a blanket, a jacket, a sweater or anything that she can use to warm herself up in the back seat and I swear I can feel her staring at me. Its either she thinks I’m losing it or I do this normally whenever I have somebody else in my car. Finally! After the long years of searching I found my jacket.

“Sorry for the wait, here you go” I say as I hand her the jacket, which by the way she just looks at with a question face and I look like an idiot waiting for her to accept it. “Don’t worry its clean” just wanting to bring that up. And she accepts it; I really think she thought it’s dirty.

“Jack can you start your car so we can already leave, you did say this place floods easily and I definitely don’t want to be Rose”
“Why you don’t want the love of your life die in front of you?”
“No, I don’t want to lose my virginity that easily to a guy who draws naked women and spits at the dock”

Well somebody’s really sassy. So I did start the engine.

“You plan on ditching me?” I say
“What?” she ask
“You agreed to eat dinner at my place but you don’t even know where I live, you didn’t gave me the chance to tell you” I complained
“Well, I did plan to ditch and I just said yes so you would let go of me” she explains

Am I that bad of a person? What did I do wrong in my 17 years of existence? I always go to church. I don’t steal, I don’t smoke and I never killed anyone. Why this one girl I find interesting doesn’t even want to go near me?

While I’m here feeling down for myself and driving she speaks up. “Luke, could you drive me home? I really don’t want to go to someone’s house I just meet” she sincerely says. Well I can’t force her but I’ll work myself up so she can accept my invitation freely. At least I’m going to find out where she lives.
“Okay” I replied to her with a smile
“Thank you, Vel Amor Village by the way” she says

It was a long drive from the school to her place. About 30 minutes drive
“You could stop here” she speaks up
I stop the car in front of a big marble house with a lot of sailor decorations and a trident sculpted to the front door. It’s not that visible but if you a keen eye you’ll notice
“Your dad is in the navy?” I ask
“Bye” she replies and gets out the car
