Chapter 17

Third person pov*

Mrs Robertson was very worried; Erin called her husband and told him that she couldn't join Adrian for days now. She tried to call him but his phone was off and when she called Martha she found her on vacation. So she decided to call her daughter Hailey and go to her son's house.

"Stop worrying Mum he will be ok" Hailey said

"I feel like he is in a danger"

"Oh please Mum don't overreacted you know he found out about Elissa recently so he certainly wants to be alone"

"I won't be reassured until I see him"

Once at his door they knocked but no one opened so Christine decided to use the spare key. The house was so silent that we can hear a fly fly. His mum became more worried and her mom's heart was panicking. They headed to his office first, the kitchen, the garden and no one.

"He certainly is in his room mum come" Hailey said walking upstairs

They opened the door entering in the room and were welcomed by the darkness and an unpleasant smell. Turning on the light their eyes were looking for the man.

"Oh my God" Christine said and run to her son who was curling in a foetal position shirtless on the floor near his bed. He had scars on his hand, his arms, his feet and was holding a photo frame. Luca's photo

"Adrian" Hailey almost yelled kneeling near Adrian tapping his cheek trying to wake him up without success. His mother started crying. Hailey checked his pulse and sighting and blew in relief

"Adrian wake up" she kept saying and shaking him

"Aargh ssshhh" Adrian finally groaned

Christine let out a huge breath and held her heart relieved that her son was conscious.

"Turn off the light" Adrian spoke again and hide his eyes with his arm

"No we won't... get up Adrian" his sister said

"Don't scream for God sake" Adrian whispered

Christine felt so sad for his son she looked around the room, saw a lot of empty bottle on the floor, almost all the furniture were broken.

"Come on Adrian why are doing this to yourself"

He stayed silent curling more.

"My son I know you are suffering but you won't solve anything like this"

"I feel like I am dying mom" Adrian said sobbing his tears flowing on his cheeks

"Oh my son get up honey let's sit on the bed"

"I don't want" Adrian said looking around and reached out his hand to a bottle laying on the floor

"Oh no no no I think you drunk enough" Hailey said taking the bottle before him.

"Just let me alone ok "He yelled obviously frustrated

"NO and please get up to take a shower you stink" Hailey replied pinched her nose

"Fuck you" Adrian said lying down on the floor again

"Stop you two, you are not kids anymore to argue like this and you Adrian you will give me the pleasure and get up right now take this damn shower and brush your teeth while I prepare something for you to eat and you" pointing at Hailey "Clean this room and opened the windows I can't support this smell anymore if I stay here one more second I will throw up"

"What!!! Why I have to clean his mess" Hailey nagged

"I said clean this right now" Christine said sternly

"And you get up I want you downstairs in 20 minutes max we have to speak" His mom said helping him stand on his feet.

Christine was in the kitchen preparing a soup and some sandwich for her son. For sure he didn't eat for days. Some minutes late her child came.

"Sit and eat" she said to Adrian

"I am not hungry"

"Would you like me to feed you?"

Blowing he took his spoon and start eating

"Don't forget you sandwich" Christine said crossing his arms on her chest

When he finished, Christine give her son two painkiller and made a green tea. Served a cup for her, one for Hailey who joined them and Adrian.

"So now let's discuss, for how long do you plan to stay like this?"

"What do you want me to do mum" Adrian replied massaging his temples

"Try to take over your life by example"

"There is nothing to do"

"Listen to me Adrian what you did was the most stupid thing someone can do. You loved her that's undeniable but trust it's more important than love and you didn't give her that" his mom said

"I still love her" he whispered

"What?"

"You said I loved her but I still love Elissa I never stopped loving her even one second"

"In this case fight for her" Hailey said

"You told the exact contrary last week at your apartment" Adrian replied 

"Since when you listen to me? And I know what I said but I know you were tricked. Of course you should have trust your wife you should fucking trust her" Hailey yelled hitting her fist on the counter

"Hailey stop it" Christine warned,

"I was angry and I still am but seeing you like this I realised that you really regretted everything. So go ahead and try to win her forgiveness and bring her and your son back" Hailey added

Adrian looked at her sister with watery eyes didn't know what to do will she forgive him? Will she give him a second chance? Will he have the love of his life and his son with him for the rest of his life; All this questions tortured him.

"But I hurt her so bad; I called her names that I am ashamed of, disrespected her, I humiliated her, chased her from her own house and call my flesh and blood a bastard! So how can I even look at her eyes" he finished by putting his face in his hands crying like a baby

Christine patted his shoulder and said

"It will not be simple you have to beg for her forgiveness. Even if you have to be on your knees bring her and my grandson back like Hailey said"

Yes he will do everything for them they are worth it.

He nodded towards his mom and sister and hug them tightly.

"Thanks to you two"

"We are family and that what family does" Hailey said

Family this word will be complete only when he will be able to have Elissa and his son in his arms.
