🌙In a relaxing views of Jeju Island far away from the busy and crowded city of Bangkok, Thailand. There's a small town near the Hallasan mountain called Yin.
Almost two hours far from the main city of Jeju, it's actually located on the foot of the mountain and in the center of the forest. Just like the town's name meaning, it's hidden.
Ground that covers with different grasses, tall trees which dancing peacefully through the cool wind and air filtered down greenly through the leaves. Its too green and yet, it's beautiful.
It rains or snows on this inconsequential town more than any other place in Jeju and this is where my father grew up—far from the tropical country I came from. We usually visit here every summer when he was still alive and didn't went back after.
My sister, Jisoo is a great nurse and decided to continued her career in the small hospital in our father's home town. She wants to continue the good deeds of our father before he died.
Jisoo is seven years older than me and I wonder why she's still not planning to get married and have her own family at this age of twenty-eight. She was living in her house alone, so she insisted me to come and stay with her for good.
I agreed and left our loving mother with Marco, our step dad, a sweet chef who can cook good food and take care of her.
"We're here!" Jisoo excitedly exclaimed as she parked in front.
She's living in a small classic two-bedroom house with a very pleasant interior of brown and white.
She leads me upstairs, "Here's your room, I keep it white for you since I know you don't like colorful." She mumbled as she helped me to carry my suitcase.
"thanks." I smiled.
"Rest for a minute and go down for dinner, okay?" I nodded. She patted my hair before walking out the door.
What I like about my sister? She doesn't hover.
I heaved a sigh as I laid down on the single and fluffy bed, staring at the glow in the dark stars on the ceiling. Clearing my mind with thoughts that wasn't necessary.
After dinner, I went straight to bed and trying my best to get some sleep but, because of the loud whooshing of rain and wind across the roof, I couldn't. I fell asleep after midnight, when the rain finally settled into a quiet drizzle.
I shut my eyes opened as the loud alarm clock ringed like drums. I didn't realized it's already morning, thick fog was all I can see from my window, I can't even see the sky from here. I sighed.
I will never get used to this weather.
I jolted when someone swung the door opened, I was greeted with a wide smile from my sister. "get up now! You shouldn't be late on your first day of school." she said.
Right.
Cheju Tourism College had a frightening total of five hundred thirty one--now, thirty two students. There were more than thousands of people in my previous school and on my department alone.
Another school year begins but, in a new place, new school and hopefully to have new friends. As if I had one before.
If only I looked like a girl from Seoul, it could be my advantage but, physically I never fit anywhere. I should be wearing perfect makeup, fancy and stylish clothes or even have a nice nail arts.
I don't even have exciting story to share, haven't even been to Party, Date, haven't had a Kiss or Sex. Those are just in my head playing along with my nonsense thoughts. Plain and boring as they said.
