Prompt - your girlfriend somi just had her new comeback and you celebrate it with her

A/N - GOD THIS CONCEPT HAS BEEN IN THE WORKS FOR LIKE A YEAR I FORGOT THIS EXISTED IN MY DRAFTS. the song came out a while ago but I still wanted to complete writing this cause I thought it was adorable. anyways, stream what you waiting for

- it was finally d-day, july 22nd

- your girlfriend somi was coming back

- when she told you, you were scared at first because she called you in a frantic mess and said that you guys needed to talk

- it sounded so urgent and you were terrified that something terrible happened, or even that she was gonna break up with you

- but no, it was just your stupid overdramatic girlfriend being exactly that

- when you arrived at her house, somi had opened the door, her eyes slightly puffy from crying

- you were convinced someone had probably died at this point

"Oh my god, Somi what's wrong?" You rushed to hug her and comfort her.

She clung onto you, "Babe..."

The two of you pulled away as she looked at you in the face with a small smile, "I'm finally gonna comeback..."

With a confused expression, you let go of her, "You what?.... THAT'S ALL?!"

- you swear that girl is gonna give you a heart attack one day

- BACK TO NOW, you guys had been hanging out a lot since the month before when she had revealed she was coming back

- you would visit her as often as both your schedules would let you so you could be there to support her

- she was always working, practicing choreo at the company or revising the song at the studio

- but she would always text and call you whenever she had the free time, telling you about her day

- you were glad that she was so happy about the song, she had wanted to comeback for a long time and was finally able to

- she came home after finishing the song excitedly, talking to you about how bad she wanted you to hear it

- you didn't get to because she wanted it to be a surprise to everyone, including her girlfriend 

"I can't listen to it?!" You pouted and slumped your shoulders.

"I wish you could! But I really want it to be a surprise to you." Somi reached for your shoulders and pulled you into a hug.

"Fine, I can't wait."

"I won't dissapoint you baby."

- and dissapointed you were not

- the song and music video came out while you were studying and you immediately stopped to watch it

- you swooned hearing her voice and seeing how beautiful she looked in the video

- near the end, you started humming the melody and moving to the song, it was extremely catchy

- you were about to call somi before realizing she had started an Instagram live

- you tuned in to see what was going on, just to find your girlfriend crying while the song played in the background

- you couldn't help but laugh and be amused at how cute somi was

- you sent her a text telling her you were on the way to her place before leaving, bringing your work with you

- if you're gonna comfort your crying girlfriend, might as well get these assignments done too!

- upon arrival, her dad, matthew, greeted you, giving you a hug and patting you on the back

- you got close to her family, even closer after all of this, especially since you'd visit her so often

- her little sister evelyn ran at you too, jumping to give you a hug

"Hey Ev! Where's your sister?" You ask, picking her up.

"She's in her room. She's such a crybaby, I heard her sobbing earlier because of the song. It makes me wanna dance, not cry! She's so weird!" The small girl expresses.

You laugh at her. "You're much stronger than your sister you know?"

"Oh I know! She cries too much!"

- with that, you put her down and walk up the stairs to somi's room

- you knock twice before opening the door to a girl curled up in a ball on her bed

- she didn't seem to acknowledge the person at her door until you laced a hand through her hair

- somi looked up at you with a puppy dog face and lunged up to hug you

- you stumble back onto her bed, lying flat on your back

- she nuzzles her face into your neck and softly whimpers while you hold her against you tightly

"Baby, why are you crying? I thought you were happy?" You slightly chuckle at how much your girlfriend really does like to cry.

"Y/N, you don't get it." Somi mumbles into your collarbone.

"What is it then baby girl?"

She pushes back to look at you, the both of you now sitting up. "I'm just... I'M SO HAPPY!"

The girl is now crying harder, but with a small smile on her face.

"God what am I going to do with you Jeon Somi?"

"Well, what you waiting for?" She sniffles with a smirk.

"You're absolutely an idiot."
